CEO/GM’s ReportFrom April 2015-Febuary 2016

“Nothing is monumental in a blink of an eye, everything has its time, space and purpose.”

Our coop (MMG-ALBAY) has grown one more year older now (19 Years of Existence). As of this writing we are worth 63 Million, …Big, maybe but most of our contemporary coop in the MMG-FED have also grown to 100 Million 300 Million worth. This is a challenge to us because in -Matthew 19:26HE says with God all things are possible…
To begin with our coop management with all the directions from the board of directors has hired our first ever Assistant General Manager. She (Marilou Compuesto, M.D.) now helps in the human resource management and doubles as administrative officer.
The coop’s decision to hire her, has also successfully implemented the succession plan. This is in the event that when we loose the man in the higher office of the operation, a vacuum will not be created. This is a very good decision/direction for our operation done by the board…
We had also filled-in 6 licensed MEDICAL TECHNOLOGISTS to man our four branches in Albay. DOH mandates us to have 2 Licensed Medical Technologists for each branch.
Just recently, March 15, 2016… we have a new licensed Medical Technologist based at the Tabaco Laboratory.
He is Ted R. Brotamante, RMT. who has been with us as a Laboratory Technician for 7 years.
This was made all the more possible because of MMG’s Social Committee’s Review Assistance Program. Congratulations to Ted and to all of us.
Cash/Money is the lifeblood of our operation we now have equipped our branches with SAFETY VAULTS, in addition to delegating our daily income to the nearest depository bank.
Holiday means no work, but not all because on select holidays we (Laboratories) now are open from 7:00AM -12:00 NN to be of service to the community.
Since our inception as a coop clinical laboratory we had been sending out our special chemistries to manila eg. TSH, T3, T4, PSA.
It is now time for the general membership to know that we are now starting to do it on our own starting March 1, 2016. This means more income for our coop. Also a shorter turn-around time (TAT) for issuance of lab-results and that means a more happy and satisfied customer.
On top of these, our LIGAO BRANCH is now equipped with a brand new state-of-the-art fully automated chemistry machine and a binocular microscope. This translates to a better and precise laboratory results.
being implemented and still in the process of polishing. This is a good program by DOLE being implemented by our AGM and HRO for our staff.
THE 5’S PROGRAM
Finally, It is my joy to report to you that we now have a well designed stockroom at the 3rd floor of our Central Office to take good care of our 2 Million or more worth of supplies for all our branches.
Remember… that we operate on central supply procurement and distribute it to our branches as the need arise.
BEFORE
AFTER
Everybody is welcome to visit it to help further improve our system. The 2nd floor and the ground floor is now fully rented for offices.
Again… we hope to optimize the earning capacity of the building.
Dr. Alfredo Moran and yours truly had been attending the Monthly Federation Meeting of which we have learned so much to help our beloved coop.
This is required of us as a member. At times, some of our staffs had the chance to attend and learn from the lectures of our Federation Resource Speakers. Personally, it has been of great help to me as your General Manager in charge of the operation.
Remember that my education and training geared me to be a Clinician not as an Administrative Man. On top of this, this Monthly Federation Meeting help us to satisfy the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) mandated trainings for officers and Board of Directors.
Recently our strategic plan has been revisited by the board for a much needed direction for MMG-ALBAY.
Finally last DECEMBER we have recognized the Employees/Staffs who had done great help to our coop. I hope we could do more for them…

“You and I Can Change Our World”
It’s the story about the 10-year old boy who was selling pencils door-to-door in his neighborhood.
When an interested adult at one house asked him the reason for selling pencils, he replied.
“I wan to raise 6 MILLION DOLLARS to build a new hospital for the city”
Amazed, the inquiring adult exclaimed,
“That’s a mighty big job for just one little boy isn’t it??
“No”, responded the 10-year old with a big dream.
“I have a friend who’s helping me.”
“The word that humanity ruined has to be changed. Yet, it is so large
and complex that I don’t think I can change it by myself. I need your help! Just you? That’s right- JUST
YOU…”Taken from the book : “Think on these Things”By: John Maxwell Copyright @ 1999
