I n r e c e n t y e a r s , t he c o n s t r u c t i o n c e r a m i c s i n d u s tr y o f t he U S SR h a s s i g n i fi c a n t ly i n c r e a s e d i ts p ru c t i o n o u tp u t. D u r i n g t h e c u r r e n t f i v e - y e a r p e r i o d t h e i n c r e a s e i n t h e o u tp u t o f t h e f u n d a m e n t a l t y p e s oa r t i c l e s o f c o n s t r u c t i o n c e r a m i c s , a s a c c o m p l i s h e d a t t he c o n c e r n s o f t he M i n i s t r y o f S t r u c t u r a l M a t e rI n d u s t r y o f t h e U S SR , is c h a r a c t e r i z e d b y t h e fo l l o w i ng d a ta : t h e p r o d u c t i o n o f f a c i n g t i l e s h a s i n c r e a s e4 6 .1 % in 1 9 70 , a s c o m p a r e d t o th e p r o d u c t i o n i n 1 96 5 ; t he p r o d u c t i o n o f f l o o r t i l e s h a s i n c r e a s e d b y 3 1d u r i n g t he s a m e p e r i o d , t h at o f f a c a d e t i l in g h a s i n c r e a s e d b y f iv e t i m e s , t he p r o d u c t io n o f s a n i t a r y - c o ns t r u c t i o n a r t i c l e s h a s i n c r e a s e b y 27 . 1% , a n d t ha t o f a c i d - r e s i s t a n t p r o d u c t s h a s i n c r e a s e d b y 3 2.3 %; fa m o n g t h e l a t t e r , t h e p r o d u c ti o n o f a c i d - r e s i s t a n t t i le s h a s i n c r e a s e d b y 2.2 t i m e s , a n d th a t o f s e w a g e h a s i n c r e a s e b y 1 3. 5% .

I . L e n i n , t he c o l l e c t i v e s o f t h e c o n s t r u c t ic e r a m i c s p l a n t s i n c r e a s e d t h e t o t a l p r o d u c t i o n v o l u m e i n 1 96 9 b y 7. 4% a s c o m p a r e d t o 1 9 68 , a n d d u r i n gs a m e p e r i o d i n c r e a s e d t he o u tp u t of a r t i c l e s o f c u l t u r a l - e v e r y d a y d e s i g n a ti o n b y 17 .3 % .

T h e c a p i t a l c o n s t r u c t i o n p l a n h a s b e e n m e t b y 1 0 8 % . N e w p r o d u c t i o n c a p a b i l i t i e s h a v e b e e n b r o ui n to a c t i o n : t h e p r o d u c t i v e c a p a c i t y f o r f l o o r t i l in g h a s b e e n b r o u g h t u p to 3 5 00 t h o u s a n d m 2 p e r y e a r , ts a n i t a r y - c o n s t r u c t i o n a r t i c l e s h a s b e e n b r o u g h t u p to 1 80 t h o u s a n d m 2 p e r y e a r , t h a t o f i n t e r n a l f a c i n g h a s b e e n i n c r e a s e d t o 1 5 0 t h o u s a n dm 2 p e r y e a r , a n d t he p ro d u c t i v e c a p a c i t y o f c a r a m i c s e w a g e p i p e s h a sb e e n b r o u g h t u p t o 1 6 t h o u s a n d t o n s .

I n 1 96 9 a l l th e c o n c e r n s o f t h e c o n s t r u c t i o n c e r a m i c s i n d u s t r y o f t h e M i n i s t r y o f t h e B u i l d i n g M aI n d u s t r y o f t he U S S R o p e r a t e d u n d e r t h e n ew c o n d i t i o n s o f p l a n n i n g a n d e c o n o m i c s t i m u l a t i o n .

T h e b e s t r e s u l t s i n t h e w o r k w e r e o b t a i n e d b y th e c o l l e c t i v e s o f t h e S h c h e k i n s k " K i s l o t o u p o r " P l at h e K h a r ' k o v O r d e r o f t he R e d B a n n e r o f L a b o r T i l e P l a n t , t he S l a v y a n s k C e r a m i c C o m b i n e , t he Vo r o n eP l a n t f o r C e r a m i c P r o d u c t s , a n d t he T b i l i s i C e r a m i c C o m b i n e , w h ic h o v e r a n u m b e r o f y e a r s h a v e b ew i n n e r s o f t h e s o c i a l i s t c o m p e t i t i o n a m o n g th e c o n c e r n s o f t h e M i n i s t r y o f t h e B u i l d in g M a t e r i a l s I n d uo f t h e U S S R .

A l l i n a l l , l a b o r p r o d u c t i v i t y o f c o n s t r u c t i o n c e r a m i c s in 19 69 i n c r e a s e d b y 5 .9 % a s c o m p a r e d t o p r e v i o u s y e a r . T h e f u n d a m e n t a l f a c t o r i n t he r i s e i n l a b o r p r o d u c t i v it y w a s t he i m p l e m e n t a t i o n o f n ewn i c s a n d a d v a n c e d t e c h n o l o g y.

D u r i n g th e y e a r s 1 9 6 6- 1 96 9 , n e w t ec h n o l o gi c a l p r o c e s s e s w e r e a d o p te d b y c o n s t r u c t i o n c e r a m i c sp l a n t s a n d m o d e r n t y p e s o f e qu i p m e n t w e r e i n s t a ll e d .
