RIDEAU VINEYARD SPECIAL EVENT AND WEDDING INFORMATION

• The date and time of the event will be reserved and confirmed upon receipt of $500 event deposit/security fee. The event deposit fee is refundable up to one month (30 days) prior to the event. If you must cancel your event date after the required 30-days-prior policy window has passed, we do not offer a refund. You may, however, transfer your event date and the event deposit fee to a mutually agreed upon date within one year from the originally scheduled date. This event deposit fee will also serve as the damage and security fee. This entire $500 deposit will be refunded to the renting party within two weeks after the event if there are no damages incurred to the event area during the stated times.

• Renting Party may serve only Rideau Cellars, LLC wines during the event. Rideau Cellars, LLC is licensed to pour only wines that are produced here on site. There is a minimum wine purchase, ½ a bottle per guest. The Renting Party, for toasting purposes only, may supply their own sparkling wine and non-alcoholic beverages. No other alcoholic beverages may be served at the Special Event/Wedding. Under no circumstances will alcohol be served to anyone under the age of 21. Neither beer nor hard liquor is allowed on the premises. Event wines must be selected and purchased no later than three weeks prior to the scheduled event date.

• There will be no wine poured after 10:00pm.

• The times allotted for the Special Event/Wedding is from 5:30-10:00pm, with 1 extra hour for cleanup. Use of the property for the ceremony earlier than 5:30pm may be possible at an additional charge, depending on the date. Feel free to discuss with us.

• If the party exceeds the 11:00pm mark, there will be an additional charge of $200 per hour in addition to overtime pay for our staff, to be removed from deposit. We request guests (excluding clean-up crew) to be off the premises by 10:30pm. Please respect this rule, as our own staff must remain on the property until all wedding party guests and clean-up crews have departed.

• Rideau Vineyard Special Events Manager will be present for the entire duration of the Special Event/Wedding. A minimum of one additional Rideau staff personnel are required, depending on the number of guests attending, and will be billed at the rate of $30 per hour per employee. The Renting Party, through the caterer, should be prepared to hire staff to pour wines during dinner.

• The Renting Party will obtain a certificate of insurance for the event listing Rideau Vineyard as “Certificate Holder” or as “Additional Insured”, providing General Liability/Personal Injury coverage of $1,000,000.00. Rideau Vineyard must receive this along with the security deposit.

• All catering arrangements must be coordinated at least one (1) week before scheduled event. Only licensed caterers and their staff may be used for your Special Event/Wedding and must be approved by Rideau Cellars, LLC.

• The Renting Party is fully responsible for the setup and cleanup of all non-Rideau Cellars, LLC owned property before and after the Special Event/Wedding. In the circumstance that there are damages to the event area during the event, they will be discussed with the renting party and may be removed from the $500 security/deposit fee prior to refunding.

• Amplified music has a strict volume limit within our zone. All music must end by 10:00pm. All DJs or musicians must observe Rideau Cellar, LLC conditions regarding volume control. If loud music is played at the event, the DJ or musicians may be asked to turn the volume down. If they continue to play music that exceeds our specified volume limit, they will be asked to leave the premises.

• The Special Event/Wedding rehearsal must be scheduled through the Special Events Manager in conjunction with the Wedding Coordinator at least three weeks in advance and scheduled for after tasting room hours. Rehearsal hours may be scheduled between 4:30pm and 6:00pm. Rideau wines may be purchased and served during rehearsal hours.
