sector. Work is carried out in client homes, residential care settings in low and high

care facilities and other community settings under supervision providing assistance

with activities of daily living, general household assistance, emotional support, care and

companionship and community access.

This course is designed to build and strengthen your

skills in personal care work. This course will equip you

with the skills and knowledge required to work in facilities such

as hostels, nursing homes and other supported residential

services.

While undertaking this course, you will learn how to:

• Use targeted Communication skills to build relationships

• Follow WHS safety procedures for direct care work
