A 6-month Part time programme for novice or those who plan to switch career to Facility / Property Management

Programme ObjectivesThis programme aims to offer students a comprehensive overview of facility management and provide a solid foundation for a career in facility management. Upon completion of this programme, graduate will demonstrate competence for future studies and work in the field of facility management.

Admission RequirementsTo be eligible for admission, an applicant must:● Have obtained level 2 in at least 5 subjects in HKDSE, including Chinese Language and English Language, or

be a graduate of Yi-Jin Diploma, and currently employed; OR● have passed 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese Language and English Language ("Syllabus B" before

2007), at level 2 / Grade E or above, plus 1 year of full-time work experience; OR● be a graduate of Project Yi-Jin Programme, plus 1 year of full-time work experience; OR ● be a mature applicant of at least 23 years of age by the start date of the programme and have at least 2 years of

full-time work experience.Shortlisted candidates may be required to attend an interview or a written test. Applications will be selected on the basis of academic merits and relevant work experience.

Programme Curriculum#

The programme is comprised of five 3-credit courses totaling 15 credits, to be completed in 2 semesters in 6 months. Each module consists of 39 contact hours.

Hong Kong Qualifications FrameworkCertificate in Facility Management is recognized under the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework. QF Level: Level 3; QR Reg No.: 13/000198/L3; Validity Period: 18 Apr 13 to 31 Dec 15.

Continuing Education Fund (CEF)Some courses in this programme have been included in the list of reimbursable courses under Continuing Education Fund (CEF). Eligible applicants may be reimbursed 80% of the course fees, subject to a maximum sum of HK$10,000, on successful completion of courses.
