About the Programme

The Certificate in Leadership Development Studies is designed to develop visionary and strategic capacities for Leadership.

The programme will prepare students in the art of responsive leadership in professional, organizational, socio-political,

economic and personal contexts as it inspires and enhances leadership development skills for driving growth at all level of

engagements.

Learning Outcomes:Students in the Certificate in Leadership Development Studies will have lectures facilitated by passionate and committed Faculty with assiduous allegiance to leadership and leadership development who are constructing leadership issues in their daily lives and operations. Each module has been distinctively designed to provide students with a unique blend of theoretical paradigms of leadership and experiential applications as students work towards a robust learning experience of demonstrating global and rounded leadership attributes upon completion. Certificates will be granted to successful participants.

Objectives of the Programme a. The programme will prepare

b. Participants will acquire requisite knowledge and skills for leadership position across industries and organizational contexts.

c. The programme will sensitize participants to became catalysts and agents of change for

experience. The interactive lecture-style will be employed to

include the following: • Coursework • Assignments • Leadership Journal entries • Power-point slides • Videos • Case studies • Role-plays & Simulations • Parleys • Short presentations and seminars • Work-Study programme • Class participatory discussions • Leadership Clinics. All these methods will be combined to give students a robust and inspiring learning experience.

Practical Assessment:Students on this programme will be expected to undergo a one month practical experience in a selected organization where they will be expected to shadow leadership activities.

All lectures shall engage the use of modern and ICT based support for effective presentation and engagement of all participants. Lecture Materials will also be available on the portal for reference by students.

CertificationAt the end of the workshop, students will be issued a leadership development certificate which will specify the competences gained from participating in the programme.

Certificates will be issued by the Lifelong Learning platform of Covenant University.
