SPEEDNAVI V4.0 is easier and faster than ever with multiple searching enabled by just a

single search word

SPEEDNAVI V4.0 offers maximum user convenience by registering frequently used menu as ‘add my menu’ in the map screen.

SPEEDNAVI V4.0 comes with more classic design and a new GUI application for better visibility.

Menu is simplified and eight buttons horizontal to each other allows for better use of the screen. It comes in either ‘classic’ or ‘fun’ skin type for

users to choose.

SPEEDNAVI V4.0 makes search more convenient by provided with just one

click in case of emergency.

1.1 Main menu overview

Main menu consists of search screen, additional functions and environment setting.

Day time/night time screen

Screen is set to fit driving environment during daytime and nighttime.

Go to menu screen > environment setting > daytime or nighttime mode setting.

Map direction and 3D screen

User can choose north up mode, heading up mode, 3D mode from map direction icons.

North up mode North direction always pointed towards the top of the screen when a user chooses from map direction icons.

(map direction is fixed, car will rotate on screen).

Heading up mode The vehicle always points to the top of the screen when a user chooses from map direction icons.

(car direction is fixed, map will rotate on screen).

3D mode 3D screen displays itself when a user chooses from map direction icons. Visibility angle can be adjusted to 5-stages by using taps (r,s).

Map scale screen

User can choose map zoom level buttons to either enlarge or reduce map level. It can also be enlarged and reduced by choosing map scale unit number. Map level is split into 17 stages of scale level from 15m, 25m, 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1.6km, 3.2km, 6.4km, 12km, 25km, 50km, 100km, 200km, 400km to 640km.

Map browsing helps user search the area around the vehicle by directly touching the screen from the vehicle’s current location.

1.3 Map Browsing

A certain area in the map can be moved with a screen touch, which can be set as destination, waypoint or favorite registration. User can also set the vehicle to the current position.(Only when no GPS reception is received)

Arrows as shown in the screen appear upon pressing the screen for a few seconds and the map can be panned.

Map moves slowly when touch point is closer to the center of screen and rapidly when the touch point is further from the center of screen.

Enlarged view of intersection

The right screen divides up to display enlarged view of the junction ahead. It displays distance to the junction, moving direction, turning area at the junction.

Highway guidance screen

Highway guidance screen assures user with a sense of driving stability by displaying three turning guidance of the route ahead.

ILS guidance screen

The complicated junctions becomes easy-to-view with added convenience via 3D ILS by reflecting the actual image in the screen.

Generic junction view

Enlarged graphical diagram close to the actual image of highway entrance/exit, which requires more detailed guidance, guides users for much easier understanding.

My Menu icon functions

1.5 My Menu

My Menu realizes all navigation menus at once.

Following functions start operation upon pressing button of choice among the menu icons.

Emergency button offers information of hospital, policy agency, car repair shops and others near my car

Shortcut guides to ‘my home’, ‘my office’ and other places stored in ‘point of interest’.

Search menu opens menu for integrated search, close search, recent search, registered points’ search

POI On RouteShows specific POI along current route (POI category can be set)

My Menu appears upon pressing button at the bottom.

Emergency button

Emergency contact points/numbers nearby the vehicle appear on the screen when pressing emergency button in My Menu.

All functions that SpeedNavi supports will appear.

Since Active Menu can register only eight menus, one of the menus at the bottom should be removed to register a new menu. To remove a function, press the button of the function to be removed and a blank shall appear.

2.1 Name search

This is a search method that provides all search results including name of destination, name of road and registered Points just by entering search word.

[Info] tab on the search screen gives access to address of the searched location, distance and phone number.

[GO] button displays the entire route as shown in the screen. Distance to destination, total driving hours and route search method appear in the screen. Route can be added or deleted. Choose [start guiding] button to start route guidance.

2.2 Recent search

This is a function that shows previously searched list and searched road of the particular point.

Select points of choice from search list Editing function is not supported for [home] and [office].

• Home: can be searched with ‘home’ registered.• Office: can be searched with ‘office’ registered. • Point of interest: can be searched with ‘points of interest’ registered,

which can have more than one point.

This is a function for user to search/manage My points.

※ The particular point can be registered as ‘My point’ by directlymoving the map in map screen.

2.5 Category search

This is a function to search POI category.

Search by type of category that appears in the screen upon pressing [category search] button in the search screen. Select the type of category to be searched.

Choose sub-category of the business type chosen.

3.1 Eco driving

The navigation has Eco mark and Eco index for an economic driving.

Tap on “additional function” button at the bottom of the main screen.

Eco screen as shown appears upon pressing [Eco Driving].

Eco screen provides information on Eco drive ratio, Eco index, Eco mark, tips for an eco-friendly exercise, etc.

3. Additional functions

※ Eco icon appears in the map screen when Eco mark is set into [on]. Eco drive is an optimal route guidance service to assist drivers to carefor the environment and drive in an economic manner.

•Eco icon

: Eco drive (on when driving at steady speed (70km/h ~ 100km/h (below)

: Sudden brake, sudden acceleration (on when exceeding the speed limit at over 110km/hr)

: Others

3.2 Trip

Driving information and other information under trip function offers information related to the vehicle such as total distance travelled and fuel consumed.

Driving information appears upon pressing [trip] button in the additional function screen. Driving information gives information such as departing point, destination, arrival time, total fuel consumption, average speed and maximum speed, etc.

Total distance travelled, driving hours, average speed and maximum speed is informed upon pressing [General information] tab. Driving information initializes upon pressing [Reset] button.

3.3 User camera

User camera function shows the list of location of cameras registered by user.

Choose [User Camera] button in the additional function screen

List of user registered cameras appears. Map moves to the camera location upon pressing button. Selected item is deleted from the list upon pressing button. The entire list is deleted upon pressing button.

Note: To register new camera locations, click the “ Register User Camera” in My menu while moving on an active route.

3.4 SPEEDNAVI Info

SPEEDNAVI Info provides product information, Version Number, Map data date, h/w, s/w licenseKeys.

3.5 Security

Security function is designed to keep others from using the navigation without permission.

A window to enter password appears upon pressing [Security] button in the additional function screen. Enter the four-digit numbers from the number keyboard and re-enter to complete security setting.

A window to enter password will appear every time S/W starts to operate.

Click the ON/OFF button at the upper right corner to enable orDisable this security feature.

Note: Please ensure not to lose or forget the set password set because SW needs to be reinstalled in case of loss. All saved data will be loss.

3.6 Route manager

The saved route guidance to the destination set can be edited or deleted.

Press [Route Manager] button in the additional function screen.

A list as shown in the screen appears if there is any stored route. Select one of the stored routes in the list. Press button to delete the list

Route management screen displays upon pressing the button at the bottom of the map.

The screen shows route search option set, distance to destination, total time, route management menu, tollgate and ferry information.

▶ Aside from the route search option already set, changes can be made into recommended, avoid highways, shortest route, highway option.

Route management

Info: check route information via each junction to destination

Edit: delete departing point, destination point or waypoints

Save: store the current searched route, which can be named to another name by using the keypad. Stored routes are retrieved from [Route Manager function].

Detour route: set detour route when the current route is congested. Distance of detour route is set to 500m, 1km, 2km, 5km.

Simulation : simulate driving in the entire route in advance.

Route cancel: Delete the set route.

Route info shows key information such as road name and distance in each major junction under Summary Tab.

TBT (Turn By Turn) tab provides turning information in the route ahead, which offers driving assurance to user.

Route search method set previously appears in the route management screen. The route search method changes when another option at the bottom is selected.

Multiple options can be set by setting destination and pressing [add] in the bottom of [all routes screen].

Route search option

Route search method is split into single route search and multiple route search.

Recommended: optimal route calculation considering all factors including travelling distance, driving speed and arrival time. Highway: route calculated to encourage highway driving. Avoid highway: route calculated to discourage highway driving. Shortest : route with the shortest travelling distance from departing point to destination. Ferry: route calculated to include ferry route. Tollgate: route calculated to include toll roads.

※ Ferry and tollgate route can be set to ‘allow’ or ‘avoid’ at Settings > Route.

A screen asking whether or not to close the program appears and press [OK] or [Cancel] button.

Show POI

Select up to 5 POI symbol to show on the map.

To see the POI symbol on the map, choose the preferredSymbol. After selecting the options, selected POI symbolswill show on the map.

If you’d like to delete the POI click on the symbol again.

Clock

This options allows the user to choose whether the timeis shown on the map view or not. Choose this option by clicking the On/Off button.

Day/Night Mode

This will help user to see the map better based on the time of Day. This option has 3 categories such as Auto, Day and Night.Auto: It changes automatically based on the time of dayDay: Change to Day ModeNight: Change to Night Mode

Turn this option ON to show the GPS tracks on the map.

Ferry

Select your preference about ferry road.

• Avoid : Avoid ferry roads when selected.(However, if there are no way to drive to the set destination,the ferry will be included in the route calculation.)

• Allow : Allow ferry roads

Toll Road

Select your preference about toll road.

• Avoid : Avoid toll roads when selected.(However, if there are no toll free roads to drive to the set destination, the toll road will be included in the route calculation.)

• Allow : Allow toll roads

Voice Guidance

Turn this option ON to listen to voice guidance. You can change the languages from Setting menu.(Settings→ Guidance→Voice)

Safety Guide

Turn this option ON to warn for speed camera when driving faster than allowed. Icon for speed camera will be shown on the screen along with the speed limit. This information may not be available for your region.

Turn this option ON to enable sharp-turn guidance. This will alert you of Sharp-turns in advance.

Lane

Turn this option ON to see the lane information. This information may not be available for your region.

Split Screen View

Turn this option ON to enable split screen view. You can get detailed information about the road in the split screen.When selected ‘ON’ button, map will be shown on the left side,Generic junction view/ILS/Junction View will show on the right side. When the button is clicked on the map, view mode can be adjusted.

Auto Zoom

Turn on Auto Zoom mode to automatically adjust the zoom level based on your current speed and road type.

※ When the speed is fast, the scale is set to high.When the speed is slow, the scale is set to low.

Alternatively, you can set Auto Zoom mode to automaticallychange the zoom level depending on the distance to next junction.

Return to your current position after a preset time automatically. When selected, user can return to thecurrent position after a preset time. User can choose; Off, 30sec, 2min, 5min

In this chapter, you will find all the necessary information with regards to installation and upgrade of SPEEDNAVI V4.0

Follow the instructions as below to install or re-install the s/w

1-1 Remove SD/CF/MMC/Mini SD card from the device1-2 Place the memory card into a card reader and make sure your computer is on and connected

to the card reader1-3 Put installation CD/DVD provided or decompress the file you downloaded from the link1-4 Please back up the user information (userdata folder) of SD card (SpeedNavi\Nation\MYS\UserData).1-5 In order to install, please unzip the file, or CD to SD/CF/MMC/Mini SD card
