Indian Geotechnical Society
The Indian National Society of Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering was established in the year 1948 and was affiliated to the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering. In December 1970, the name “Indian Geotechnical Society” was adopted. In January 1994 it hosted 13th International Conference on Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering (ICSMGE).
