Utilising a well appointed workshopfacility in Glasgow, CG Power Solutions UK candefine and supply our clients’ complete requirements. All panels are fully tested to rigorous procedures before being delivered to site.

Engineering design and manufacture are carried out in line with current regulations andindustry standards, e.g. BS7671 and EATS 50-18,with particular client specifications able to be readily incorporated.

Panels are built and fully tested by experienced fitters / wiremen and commissioningengineers at our manufacturing workshop facilityin Glasgow.

Typical applications range from 6.6kV to 400kVsystems and include transformer, feeder and busbar protection schemes along with associatedmimic and control panels.

By discussing and understanding our clients’requirements, the CG engineering department canfully define the panels that are required. Startingwith protection application, the system requirementsare defined and agreed. Following this the overallpanel layouts are produced and a complete panelspecification put together, outlining the metalworkrequirements and IP ratings along with relay andancillary equipment specifications.

We then undertake the detailed scheme design asdefined by the protection application drawings alongwith the panel wiring diagrams to enable the panelsto be manufactured. If project requirements dictate,the design can go on to define the constructionpackage enabling the panels to be integrated into theoverall substation, along with co-ordination of all therelay system and protection parameters to bedefined.

MANUFACTURING

Utilising the vast experience of the panel wiremenwithin CG Power Solutions UK, we can successfullydeliver high levels of manufacturing to meet ourclients’ requirements, from a simple metering box orbay marshalling kiosk, to complex Protection andControl Panel solutions.

As all the relevant functions are in-house to CG, thisenables us to have more easily co-ordinated communications between the design and manufacturing elements resulting in a superior endproduct. Once the panels are completed and tested,these are delivered to the respective site to enableour client to continue with the site build.Alternatively, CG installation teams can undertakethis work and deliver a complete solution.

TESTING

Before any panels or kiosks leave the factory, they undergo a rigorous set of tests to ensure that we deliverexactly what our clients require. Whether these tests are defined by the client or ourselves, we can ensure thateach panel will meet our clients’ specifications and requirements.

All quality assurance paperwork and test results are delivered with the panels so that the client has a completeset of information associated with the panels for their records. This also provides details for individual components within the panels to allow a fully auditable trail for the panels provided.

As with the installation works, once the panels are despatched for delivery, CG can provide assistance in commissioning the units into the electrical system.
