Effective Leadership Sustaining Our Future

SFHA Chairs Conference 2015

About the ConferenceThe role of the Chair and Vice Chair within a governing body of housing association/co-operative is vital to the effectiveness of the organisation. The SFHA Chairs Conference is an annual event recognising the range of challenges facing our sector.

The programme has been designed to allow delegates to build upon their leadership skills and think about how they can sustain the future of both the sector as a whole and their own organisation; influencing in a positive way. There will also be plenty of opportunity for delegates to exchange views and share good practice.

The event will be facilitated by SFHA’s Head of Policy, Maureen Watson and Alexander Mackenzie of Cranfield University. Alexander is a visiting tutor at the Praxis Centre within the University and is a Director of two open learning programmes where he has been involved for over 12 years. He is particularly recognised for his work in the use of storytelling as a tool for leadership development.

Come along and challenge your thinking and gain ideas to take back to your committees and boards for action.

Is this the Conference for you?The conference is aimed at Chairs and Vice Chairs of housing organisations, including housing associations, co-operatives and local authorities. It will also be of interest to governing body members who would like to become Chairs at some point in the future.
