Project description:

The Common Data Model (CDM) is one of the key components to integrate the enterprise information from the multiple data sources to provide the enterprise information to business users for the operation purpose. Due to the adapting of the rapid business changes, IT systems has been built for each business requirements and it results situation that one category of information is managed by multiple systems. This more rapid business changes continues and it will be more difficult to get the one fact from the one data source system. Moreover, this situation affects the business effectiveness and flexibility.

To solve this, AIA initiated the common data model (CDM), which provides the enterprise information integration function and single view of customer, policy and etc. ING’s 60% stake in ING PUBLIC Takaful Bhd have been acquired by the AIA Group and are no longer affiliated with ING Group. There are different phases in CDM project like Integration, Migration and keeping the data into a common model. Integration involves in maintaining the new portals in CDM and Migration takes care about migration of old portals and SPs into CDM. As part of this project our team takes care about the data cleansing and creation of new procedures and migration of old SQL server SPs.

Responsibilities:

Creation of New Procedures and Functions for the Front End Portals. Interacted with the Business analysts and the Manager to gather requirements. Loading of data from source tables to target tables using PL/SQL control function. Cleansing of the data by checking duplicates which are coming from different sources Created database triggers to implement and enforce data integrity and security. Responsibilities:

Gathered the business requirement from clients and translated the business details into technical requirements. Developed Screens, Stored program units, database triggers and templates and Tuning PL/SQL Programs. Worked on relational modeling, design of database schema and structures, application design. Analyzed and solved the problems during the application systems' upgrading and running stages. Trained clients about using Oracle Database Enhanced a statistics module's performance in a preexisting product by 2000% faster (reducing runtime from 2 days to 2 hours) and made the statistics result 100% accurate by recoding the statistics Procedure in PL/SQL language with adopting a more efficient data accessing path than the old one. This tool is very useful in estimating revenue, etc which helps higher management to know

the status of the various projects and work force.

This application maintains the centralized database so that any changes done at a

location reflects immediately. This is an online tool so more than one user can login into

system and use the tool simultaneously to view the reports.
