Challenge Day’s Cross The Line Activity
About Challenge Day Challenge Day is a world leader in providing empowering and
transformational workshops for teens and adults. Challenge Day’s life
changing programs create a safe, open, and caring space for people to
connect in a nurturing and fun group environment, helping participants
realize they are not alone in the issues they face (bullying, drugs, violence,
abuse, poverty, prejudice, racism, etc.). This provides real empathy and
real hope, leads to deep and enduring relationships among participants,
and catalyzes them to “be the change” in the world. Participants often
describe their experience with Challenge Day as “the best day of my
life.” Challenge Day is the recipient of numerous awards, and is a trusted
and respected organization as evidenced by coverage in well-known media
such as The Oprah Winfrey Show, MTV, the Emmy Award Winning
documentary Teen Files: Surviving High School, and the book Chicken
Soup for the Teenage Soul.
The Challenge Day Program: For millions of young people, bullying, violence, and emotional trauma and
alienation are a part of a typical school day. These problems reduce
learning, increase behavioral problems and suspensions, and can result in
physical harm and even death.
The Challenge Day Program for schools:
• Reduces teasing, stereotyping, social oppression, and bullying
• Teaches tools for peaceful conflict resolution
• Enhances skills for healthy emotional expression
• Increases students’ self-esteem, sense of purpose, and integrity
• Builds empathy and community on campus
In studies after Challenge Day, students report that they are more:
• Accepting and supporting of fellow students
• Accepting of themselves
• Aware that their actions affect others and of the effects of bullying
• Connected to students and adults
• Hopeful about their future
Over a million youth and adults served In 28 years, our programs have served millions of people in the United
States, Canada, Australia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, The
Netherlands, Sweden, and recently in Uganda.
