– UoE/SE initiative– Encourage new entrepreneurs to develop their knowledge-

led business ideas to a stage ready for exploitation– Up to 12 months long, working with identified academic

– No priority areas– Around 1.5 million Euros per project, up to 50% of total

eligible costs– 50% of project’s core activity by SME’s– Maximum duration of 3 years– By collaborative project, EC expects at least two

participants from two different Eurostar countries to participate

– Consolidating Smart, SPUR and SPURPLUS schemes– Projects to be innovative and have technical risk– Technical & feasibility studies can receive up to 75% of the

total cost, maximum of £70k, from 6mths up to 18mths– Development of pre-production prototype, then up to 35%

of eligible costs, maximum of £600k, from 6mths up to 36mths
