The Greater Bowie Chamber of Commercewas established in 1983, as a broad-based organization that strives to improve the commercial climate of the City, to promote planned economic and community development, and to make the greater Bowie community a better place to live and work.

The foundation of the Chamber is its growing and diverse membership, which accomplishes the aims of the organization by volunteer service on its board and standing committees.
