CHAIR MESSAGE
Peter James, Chair
Season’s Greetings Everyone!
The end of the year is in sight. And for our business-
es, it is now time for that last sprint towards the
finish line. It seems like this business journey that
we are on is never-ending. It’s actually a marathon,
but you knew that already. However, it should be filled with
various and timely sprints towards carefully-planned objectives.
Goals and objectives should be the norm. And if you don’t do
this regularly, I have to ask, why are you actually in business? And
are you where you would like to be? If not, it’s time to hit the
reset button and partner with individuals who can help to
re-strategize.
In the meantime, let’s talk about December. You think this year
went fast? Don’t blink too hard - December will be a blur. So, let
me list the activities that we would love to see you attend in
these last few weeks:
LINCT Holiday Party - Tuesday, December 11, 2018
Annual Meeting & Holiday Party Luncheon - December 13, 2018
And finally, I would like to take a moment to thank Jill, Claudine
and all of you for the opportunity to serve as your Board
Chair-person for 2018. It has truly been an honor to partner
with you all to propel the mission of the Lisle Area Chamber.
Now, as we look towards 2019, I would like to introduce you to
and welcome Annette Loritz of Benedictine University. Annette
will be your Board Chairperson for the new year. Big things are
planned for 2019 that will definitely benefit you and your busi-
nesses, so please stay tuned, stay connected and look to help the
Chamber help businesses like yours progress smoothly for the
foreseeable future. Chat soon!

MULTI-CHAMBER POLKA DOT PROGRESSIVE NETWORKING LUNCHEON
The Multi-Chamber Polka Dot Progressive Network-ing Luncheon was held on November 28, 2018 at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Carol Stream. The highly attended luncheon had members from 9 Chambers and Women’s Groups from the surrounding area. The networking luncheons provide opportunities to network with new businesses and provide information about your business. At the luncheon there was a table to provide information about your company as well as receive information from a business you might not have had a chance to meet. This year the philanthropic effort was for Goodwill Industries. Make sure and check back next year for the date for the Polka Dot Progressive Networking Luncheon. Multi-Chamber Progressive Networking Luncheons provide great opportunities to meet with members from other Chambers that you might not necessari-ly have had an opportunity to network with. Keep a look out in 2019 for all of the Multi-Chamber Pro-gressive Networking Luncheons and opportunities.
