introduction

Best known for changing women's fashion from puffy dresses to pants.

3 Key qualities

coco chanel was:

~Brave~daring~different

What I find interesting is that because she was very poor and an orphan, she became a change maker.

I chose this person because i read a book about her and I loved it. she inspired me, and the minute i heard we were going to have a change maker study, i knew i wanted her to be my change maker.

Famous Quotation:

"luck is a way of being. luck is not a little person. luck is my soul."

coco's mom died of tuberculosis, so she spent six years years in an orphanage. her father left the family.

i think that she would be verylonely and sadbecause if I couldn't live with my parents, i would miss them.

she made clothes more comfortable for women during a time when women had to wear dresses.

I think that she had compassion for all women because before her clothes were invented, women wore puffy dresses and corsettes that squeeze your waist. that does not sound comfy.

Coco snuck into a polo match for the fun of it while risking the possibility of going to jail because she was poor and not allowed in there. she was wearing her own designs so she stood out.

I think it was brave because she could've gone to jail. lucky for her, she attracted a wealthy british polo player who bought her her own little shop on the most fashionable streets in paris.

coco couldn't pay to dress like the ladies in corsettes, so she started making her own hats and clothes. everybody was shocked by it because no one wore that stuff then. it was new.

i think that her strong mind helped her to be daring because she didn't just sit in a corner wishing she could dress like others, she dressed in a way that she liked.

today the everyday woman dresses in jeans and a t-shirt, and back then the daily woman spent her day in an itchy, uncomfortable dress. she helped women do things better.

I'm A change maker when i draw because every picture has a story to it. that can

inspire other people to be artistic.

I'm Similar to my change maker because i am a designer just like cooc. it's true. I have

mannequins and sometimes I rummage through baskets of

silk and wrap the them around the mannequin. then I add jewelry.

My Change maker is

connected to amelia earhart.

amelia wore pants like coco. during

their times, women and girls were

supposed to act and dress in a certain way. amelia and coco stood out

because they wanted to be

different. Author Talk
