In the early 1800’si, many revolutions where coming into play, ones that would, in later
years, become some of the most important changes in human historyii. This big change would, later
be called, ‘the Industrial Revolutioniii. During this timeiv, some, very important inventions where
created including the; cotton gin to produce new and faster cottonv, telegraph to improve
communicationvi, railroads and steam engines to increase speed of shipmentsvii, and so many
others. However, none are more important, to this writing, than the invention and ideologies of the
canal. In addition, shall later prove that man has always been working to improve his life, by
creating and pacifying technology.
The canal was an invention, or more methodviii, created by Judge Benjamin Wright, a
resident of New York. Wrightix created the idea for the canal in 1817x; to increase trade speed
between all included states and companies, by way or water.
By creating a big project as such, Wright increased need of labor and money, and benefited
many non-‐workers by adding a good one to ten thousandxi workers to a job list.
With increasing jobs, this impacted the Americans, economically, greatly in positive
reinforcements; with new jobs there was more money earned that would equal new and more
products to buy, and in turn raise the companies net worthxii.
The American society on the other hand, may have suffered the most. As many workers lost
lives and fought off to get back into a sober setting, it is not suppressing to learn that many where
injured from their work. Working with dynamite and explosives, in form of gun powderxiii, it turned
to create catastrophesxiv, where men, and only men workedxv, working on the project would only
hold their shovels over their heads to protect themselves from flying projectile.

On a third hove, as it was since many animals where used to transport rocks away from the
excavation site, the American culture was heavily changed, into a wider and more open and
consumer built republic. Men and women did not need to travel as far, and could now settle and
become families and not clusters of people.
Lastly, for the canalxvi, the American politics changed to a uniform government and could
now learn, slowly, to see a big picture and start to fund optimistic ideas.
This is why the Americans profited greatly from the canal. Which in such away leads to the
next objective?
The Water Project introduced in March of 2015, is planned to be revolutionary. By adding a
system of filtration, which would not need electricity, flame, or chemicals, nor would expire. It has
been Kota Wharton’s goal to create a sustainable, and impacting innovation to deliver clean safe
and non contaminated water to the residents in 3rd world countries.
The Water Filtration Project (WFP) is a notable one, sense it is embarking on the same
prospects as said in the canals, creating. By allowing one to shorten travel time, and include
connections between families that no longer have to be split daily to obtain this natural resource.
By decreasing the cost of the WFP, Wharton is planning to increase home revenues by more
than 50%, for reasons that a family would not have to pay for travel daily for miles and miles, to
obtain water.
With more income, and less spending, and family would then and only then be able to focus
money on other needed items like food. With savings and better food, coverage, it would be then
acceptable to include that the quality of life would rise.
The countries society would increase to happier one, if and when, the family does not have
to travel an average 14.9 miles daily by foot to bring home 7 gallons of water, but instead could
renew such resources at home, creating a more stable society and sustainable relation.

With the possibility of death almost eradicated, it would be hoped that one would no longer
have to deal with daily deaths, nor would have to bear loss.
Wharton’s invention should be hoped to be revolutionary and as such as the Canal.
All these facts above can clearly pointxvii that humankind has always been developing and
creating technology to better suite our lives, for better or worse.
Some ask ‘will it always be that way?xviii
And a true answer to that would be, probably. Until man finds his way in life and is
completely satisfied, as shall never come, in a healthy state, because a brain is always yearning, he
will always want to make his life suite him, in his own way.xix
