Parenting TipsEncourage Your Child to Be an Upstander. Being an upstander means a child takes

positive action when he or she sees a friend or another student being bullied. Share

how one person can make a difference. "When it's the kids who speak up, it's tentimes more powerful than anything that we'll ever be able to do as an adult," says Walter Roberts, aprofessor of counsellor education and author of Working With Parents of Bullies and Victims.

Report Repeated, Severe Bullying. If your child is reluctant to report the bullying, go with him to talkto a teacher, Year Head, school counsellor or the principal. Keep records by documentinginstances of bullying. Stay on top of the situation by reporting them to the school.

We did the mirror maze and

it was very confusing. After a

few minutes, we managed

to solve it. I was glad my

friends were there to support

one another.

that there was an

EcoGarden. I was excited

as it looks so new!

black shoe instead of the black line. We took off our

robot on the floor. My

group won the sumo

challenge. We were

proud of our robot.

one of the exercises to stay fit. I'm

me at home.

Games

I am proud of myself for

putting in effort during the

games. Even though the

other classes did not win, I

patted them on their

back and said, “It’s ok.

You can do better next

I was satisfied during the

games because we were

against the best players in

other classes. We tried very

hard to win. I am glad we all

put our heart and soul

into our efforts.

I felt quite excited

before the inter-class

game as it was the

first time we were

playing these

games. Although I

was not playing, I

cheered for my

team. At the end, I

was a bit

disappointed as we

were not the

champions. I believe

that we will be able

to win the Term 3

inter-class games.

I felt very sad as my team had

lost. But it changed after our

opponent came to us and

praised us for doing a good job.

It was true. We tried our best.

We will try harder next term.

I didn't know that rope

skipping could be so

enjoyable. It was so fun

especially doing it with my

friends. We learnt many

techniques for

rope skipping.

At Kidzania, my friends and I

had a lot of fun. My mother took pictures of us as she

came along as a parent volunteer for this trip!

before the trip as

wondering what

we would do

there. We took

the eye test first

before playing

basketball at the

stadium. We had

a whale of a

time. We also

worked as

policemen to

crowd while the

firefighters were

putting out the

fire. It was fun!

We thought for a long time before deciding on the job

that we wanted to try. We didn’t know how to make

more money. Rifqah and I worked together and found a

job at KFC. We were so happy as we got to eat for free!

I was excited at first. But when I got there, I was

frustrated as the queue was long. I ended up

eating before becoming a deejay. I was glad

that I got to try this job!
