CARTON DIMENSIONS REQUIREMENTS

Charlotte Russe’s carton size/ weight requirements are established to maximize product flow and requirements listed

below apply to all cartons shipped to our Distribution Centers. It is imperative that cases do not deviate from these

specifications as cases too large will not pass through our conveyor system and cases too small will not scan.

Carton weight must be a minimum of 5 pounds and a Maximum 40 pounds per carton. Dimension Requirements:

Length (Longest side):

Minimum: 15 inches

Maximum: 30 inches

Height (SKU Description Orientation):

Minimum: 5 inches

Maximum: 20 inches

Width:

Minimum: 12 inches

Maximum: 20 inches

No single carton dimension can exceed 30 inches. Longest side must be at least 15 inches long.

A carton’s combined length plus girth must be less than 82 inches (Length plus Girth = L + 2*W + 2*H)

Tape should be 2” (5.1 cm) minimum width.

Seal carton, top and bottom, using vinyl tape to form an H pattern. If you are using kraft tape, make sure information is clearly visible. You may write over the tape if necessary.

Absolutely no banding/strapping or staples allowed.

All products with tactile material must have chipboard on top of every box to protect merchandise when opening boxes.

Cartons must not be overstuffed such that they cannot be stacked easily and safely on top of each other

All shipments must be shipped in single-SKU; single-size, and single-color cartons unless it is specified as a pre-pack on the Purchase Order

Do not combine or mix multiple Purchase Orders in the same carton.

CHAPTER 12: PACKING – ECOMMERCE

12 - 13

CARTON LABELING REQUIREMENTS

To easily identify, sort and process the products, Charlotte Russe requires that each carton be properly marked and have

the UCC128 label (LPN) properly placed. (See Chapter 1, pages 10-13 for label component requirements). It is essential

that the information programmed into each label EXACTLY matches the contents of the case. Should any new items be

added or adjustments made to a previously labeled carton, you are responsible for printing a fresh / accurate label and

sending a revised 856-ASN.

While printing UCC128 labels:

Use self-adhesive labels that are 4x6 inches.

Refrain from using labels printed on regular paper and applied to cases with tape, as they do not comply

with scanning technologies.

Ensure that UCC128 barcodes are printed with 100% quality. Barcodes that are faded, cut off, or have

obvious imperfections like lines running through them will not scan properly.

While placing labels on the cartons, please note that:

Altering information printed on the UCC128 labels with pen, white out, or any other means does not affect

the information stored in the barcodes and is thus, an unacceptable alternative to printing a new label.

No barcode other than the UCC128 label should be printed or placed on the length side of the carton. A

single label should be placed on one length side only.

Any labels or barcodes intended for manufacturing purposes must be limited to the width side of the case,

or otherwise covered with blank, solid stickers or papers prior to shipping.

UCC128 labels must be placed securely in the top right hand corner of the length side so that the edges of

the label meet the corner of the carton. Reference the image below. Please observe that the label is also

placed straight up and down, not at an angle.

If your cartons are equal in length and width, apply the label on the side in which the top flap opens towards

the label.

Carton Label Requirements for NON-EDI Shipments: All cartons that are part of a Non-EDI shipment must have generic labels affixed in the proper location that reference all the same components as required on the UCC128 shipping labels (See Chapter 2, pages 4-8 for label component requirements).
