    2. a. Yes I agree with all three scenarios. The first is correct because using company

computer and office time for personal use is a no no Company pay you for the

work that you do for them, so an employee must do his best to strive to work and

give full concentration while he is in the workplace. The second scenario is also

agreeable because company computer can be only used for company work, that is

also true for internet usage, internet researches can be done through internet, it isbest if employees stop using it for their personal work or entertainment. The third

scenario is also somewhat true, except for the instance that Jane Smith thought it

was sexual harassment for her, I think she is over reacting, she is thinking that

everything that happens pertains to her, except for that I agree with the advice of

the attorney, the company should set strict rules regarding internet opening

websites, they can block certain websites and adult sites.

    b. My advice will be to set rules regarding internet usage, whoever gets caught

using internet or computer for personal reasons will receive 2 warnings, on the third

time, they will either be suspended or fired. The company should also install camera

with maintenance people looking at it, so they can know and supervise what theemployees are doing.

    c. Using company materials for personal gain or personal use is against the rules

because employees are paid to do the work of company and not to do personal

work. Internet privileges must be limit due to many people using the internet.

Sexual harassment in any way is banned in the workplace even in society.

    3. a. No strict rules is implemented online so hackers can easily access information

    from a company.

    b. They must create passwords upon entering a site. Intranet usage is not

accessible to all employees, only for the higher position ones. Do not post pertinent

information online because some people may find a loophole for that and take that

    against your company.

    c.

    MEMO:

    To: All systems administrative employees.

Impostors posing as employees may request accounts, passwords, and other information. Even by giving

out employee names or instructions about how to obtain access, you may be helping a hacker gain access to

our systems. Our performance ratings and our jobs depend upon keeping our systems secure.

All requests for account changes, passwords, or access changes must come through our normal request

process. This process has been designed to ensure that the requestor is who they say they are and that the

appropriate managers have approved the request.

If you receive a phone call requesting access, employee names, or information about our security policies

and procedures, do not answer these questions over the phone. You may e-mail this information to any

employee, but you must use our company's e-mail address. Under no circumstances should you e-mail anyinformation to an outside e-mail address. If the caller claims to not have company e-mail access, then you

may e-mail this information to the employee's supervisor. Use our company's directory to determine the

correct addressee, use only our company's e-mail addresses, and do not give out the employee names to the

caller. The caller should know how to contact their own supervisor, and the supervisor should be able to

affirmatively identify his or her own employees.

If you receive a subsequent call from the employee's supervisor rather than a change request through our

normal processes, treat this caller in accordance with this memo.

    4. a. Spyware is a type ofmalware (malicious software) installed on computers that

collects information about users without their knowledge. The presence of spyware

is typically hidden from the user and can be difficult to detect. Typically, spyware is

secretly installed on the user's personal computer. However, some spyware such

as keyloggers may be installed by the owner of a shared, corporate, or public

computer on purpose in order to secretly monitor other users.

While the term spyware suggests software that monitors a user's computing, the

functions of spyware can extend beyond simple monitoring. Spyware programs can

collect various types ofpersonal information, such as Internet surfing habits, a

history of visited sites, and user logins and passwords. Spyware can also interfere

with user control of a computer in other ways, such as installing additional software

or redirecting web Web browsers. Some spyware can change computer settings,

resulting in slow Internet connection speeds, un-authorized changes in home pages,

loss ofInternet connection, or functionality of other software. Sometimes, spyware

is included along with genuine software, and may come from an official software

vendor. In an attempt to increase the understanding of spyware, a more formal

classification of its included software types is provided by the term privacy-invasive

    software.

Spyware is any technology that aids in gathering information about a person ororganization without their knowledge. On the Internet (where it is sometimes called

a spybot or tracking software), spyware is programming that is put in someone's

computer to secretly gather information about the user and relay it to advertisers or

other interested parties. Spyware can get in a computer as a software virus or as

the result of installing a new program.

Data collecting programs that are installed with the user's knowledge are not,

properly speaking, spyware, if the user fully understands what data is being

collected and with whom it is being shared. However, spyware is often installed

without the user's consent, as adrive-by download, or as the result of clicking some

option in a deceptive pop-up window. Software designed to serve advertising,

known asadware, can usually be thought of as spyware as well because it almostinvariably includes components for tracking and reporting user information.

However, marketing firms object to having their products called "spyware." As a

result, McAfee (the Internet security company) and others now refer to such

applications as "potentially unwanted programs" (PUP).

The cookie is a well-known mechanism for storing information about an Internet

user on their own computer. If a Web site stores information about you in a cookie

that you don't know about, the cookie can be considered a form of spyware.

Spyware is part of an overall public concern about privacy on the Internet.

Many Internet users were introduced to spyware in 1999, when apopular freeware game called "Elf Bowling" came bundled with tracking software.

Spyware is a general term used to describe software that performs certain

behaviors, generally without appropriately obtaining your consent first, such as:

    Advertising

    Collecting personal information

Changing the configuration of your computer

Spyware is often associated with software that displays advertisements (called

adware) or software that tracks personal or sensitive information.

    Trading tracking for services

That does not mean all software that provides ads or tracks your online activities is

bad. For example, you might sign up for a free music service, but you "pay" for the

service by agreeing to receive targeted ads. If you understand the terms and agree

to them, you may have decided that it is a fair tradeoff. You might also agree to let

the company track your online activities to determine which ads to show you.

    What spyware does

Other kinds of spyware make changes to your computer that can be annoying and

can cause your computer slow down or crash.

These programs can change your web browser's home page or search page, or add

additional components to your browser you don't need or want. They also make it

very difficult for you to change your settings back to the way you had them.

    Know what you're installing

The key in all cases is whether or not you (or someone who uses your computer)

understand what the software will do and have agreed to install the software on

    your computer.

A common trick is to covertly install the software during the installation of other

software you want such as a music or video file sharing program.

Whenever you install something on your computer, make sure you carefully read all

disclosures, including the license agreement and privacy statement. Sometimes the

inclusion of unwanted software in a given software installation is documented, but it

might appear at the end of a license agreement or privacy statement.

There are a number of ways spyware or other unwanted software can get on your

computer. To learn more about spyware, read How to help prevent spyware.

    How Do I Avoid Spyware?

Be selective about what you download to your computer

    Read licensing agreements

    Watch out for anti-spyware scams

    Beware of clickable ads

Keep your Internet browser up to date

    Scan your computer often

How to choose the best spyware removal tool?

Not all spyware removal applications can satisfy all your needs. Moreover, not all ofthem are safe some spyware programs disguise themselves as free

online malware scanners and spyware cleaners! When choosing a spyware removal

tool at antispyware download websites, pay attention to the following:

    Usability

    http://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/spyware-prevent.aspxhttp://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/spyware-prevent.aspx

    5/30

Take a look at the spyware detector interface. Is it intuitive and well-designed? Are

the control names descriptive enough? Are there any additional tooltips or

explanatory popups? As you know, first impressions are half the battle. Therefore,

no matter how functional the malware removal tool may be, usability aspects

decide whether a person will continue using the program or search for a simpler

    solution.

    Spyware Detection and Removal Efficiency

If a malware remover does not detect any malware on your PC, it does not mean

that there's actually no malware. Maybe the problem is with the program. Maybe

itsspyware scanner is not efficient enough, its malware protection mechanism is

weak and therefore misses out some dangerous files. Another important aspect is

real-time protection, meaning that the program can detect and remove malware on

the spot, preventing it from lurking into your system. Finally, there are various

types of malware, and it's nice if the program can deal with many of them.

    Impact on System Performance

Some spyware removal software solutions are pumped full of various features. On

one hand, such versatility is nice to have. On the other hand, it may cause your

system to hang up and slow down. Some anti spyware software solutions offer a

"quick spyware scan", but is it really quick? Find out how much time a malware

scanner needs to detect the harmful files and your ability to use the PC during

the online spyware scan; then draw your own conclusion.

    Customer Support

Check your spyware blocker tool for decent customer support service. If yourrequests are left unanswered, it's hard to reach the call center on the phone and

the support quality is poor, then it will cross out the program's efficiency, features

    and design.

    1. What Information We Collect

Ticketmaster gathers two basic types of information through the Site: "Personally Identifiable Information" (or "PII")

and "Non-Personally Identifiable Information" (or "Non-PII"). PII is information that identifies or can identify you as anindividual (such as residential address, telephone number, or billing information) and Non-PII is aggregatedinformation, demographic information, IP addresses, geographic location and any other information that does notreveal your specific identity.

    a. Non-Personally Identifiable Information.

When you visit and interact with the Site, Ticketmaster and third parties with whom Ticketmaster has contracted toprovide services to Ticketmaster may collect Non-PII (for example, a catalog of the Site pages you visit). Non-PII isanonymous and does not identify you personally. Non-PII is generally collected through the Site from four differentsources: Internet protocol addresses and web logs; cookies; pixel tags and other similar technologies; and other Non-PII that you voluntarily provide (as explained below). In addition, if you opt in to use our Site from your mobile device,we may receive information about your actual location (such as GPS signals sent by your mobile device) orinformation that can be used to approximate a location (such as a cell ID).

    i. IP Protocol Addresses and Web Logs.

This Site's web servers automatically collect the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and log files of visitors. Your IPaddress is an identifying number that is automatically assigned to your computer by your Internet Service Provider(ISP). This number is identified and logged automatically in our server log files whenever you visit the Site, along withthe time(s) of your visit(s) and the page(s) that you visited. This information is collected in an aggregate form only anddoes not contain any PII. We use your IP address, and the IP addresses of all users, for purposes such as calculatingSite usage levels, helping diagnose problems with the Site's servers, and administering the Site. Collecting IPaddresses is standard practice on the Internet and is done automatically by many websites. In addition to the Non-PIIusage of IP Addresses described above we also may link your IP address to personally identifiable information forfraud prevention purposes.

    ii. Cookies.

We and our third party service providers may use a standard technology called a "cookie" to collect information abouthow you use the Site. Cookies reside on your computer and help the Site recognize your computer's browser as aprevious visitor. For example, when you sign in to your My Ticketmaster account, cookies will be used to save youremail address and name so the next time you visit your My Ticketmaster account from the same computer we will"remember" your email address and name in order to make your experience faster and simpler. On occasion our Sitemay also set a "session cookie" which helps us administer the Site. The session cookie expires when you close yourbrowser and does not retain any information about you after it expires. If you do not want information collectedthrough the use of cookies, you should be able to modify your browser preference to provide you with choices relating

    iii. Pixel Tags.

A Pixel Tag is an electronic image, often a single pixel (1x1), that is ordinarily not visible to Site visitorsand may be associated with cookies on the visitors' hard drives. Pixel Tags do not contain any PII and allow us tocount users who have visited certain pages of the Site, to deliver branded services, and to help determine theeffectiveness of promotional or advertising campaigns. When used in HTML-formatted email messages, Pixel Tagscan tell the sender whether and when an email has been opened.
