Installation d'un SE1. Vérifiez que l’ensemble du matériel est certifié compatible avec le système

d’exploitation sélectionné.

2. Vérifiez que les ressources matérielles répondent ou dépassent les conditions minimales publiées.

3. Assurez-vous de disposer du support d’installation approprié. En raison de la taille des fichiers des systèmes d’exploitation actuels, ces derniers sont généralement fournis sur un support d’installation du type CD-ROM et DVD-ROM.

4. Si le système d’exploitation doit être installé sur un système qui contient déjà des données : (a) utilisez les outils et utilitaires de diagnostic du système, pour vous assurer que l’installation actuelle du système d’exploitation n’est pas endommagée et ne contient ni fichiers, ni codes malveillants ou destructifs ; (b) effectuez une sauvegarde complète des fichiers importants.

5. Si vous procédez à une nouvelle installation, vérifiez que tous les logiciels d’application sont disponibles pour l’installation.

Summary

An operating system is the most important software in a PC.  It is responsible for making all of the components and software applications work together.

An OS is installed in a disk partition.

To participate in a network, a computer requires an IP address, subnet mask and default gateway.

An OS must be kept up-to-date with the latest revisions, or patches.

Before installing a wireless network an installation plan should be created.
