Manhole covers

can be integrated in the overall concept as a final component in a supply and disposal unit.

Stainless steel, material grade 304 suitable for use e.g. in the meat and beve-rage industry and in the chemical and food industry.

Galvanized steel manhole covers are used in public housing construction and for production and storage areas.

Aluminium manhole covers for use in more critical environments e.g. hotels and hospitals complete the product range.

Cleaning opening

Finor cleaning opening

are required where underground and collecting lines need to be accessible for inspection and analyses.

Cast iron Finors are predominantly used in public housing whereas stainless steel Finors are used in food preparation.

Planning information

The manhole covers of ACO building serv-ices are primarily offered with an optional surface. They harmoniously adjust to the surrounding surfaces due to these option-al building fillings of the covers with tiles,

base plates, carpeting or other materials. The manhole covers are available for Load class L 15 (A 15). Three versions can be distinguished:

Stainless steel ■

Steel, galvanised ■Aluminium ■

FI single manhole covers

The FI-single manhole covers are generally used as access openings in the private as well as the industrial sector. Materi-als used for the floor covering (tiles, base plates, granite, marble, laminate,

carpeting, etc.) can be used for filling the cover. The FI-single manhole covers are optionally manufactured of stainless steel, material grade 304, steel, galvanised or aluminium. The product range for single

manhole covers includes clearances (lengths x widths in mm) of 450 x 450 mm - 1000 x 1,000 mm, i.e. 1200 x 600 mm.

Frame with special double seal ■

FI sequential manhole covers

FI-series covers cover larger surfaces. This generally concerns longitudinal bottom openings for maintenance and engineering levels. They are therefore typically used in relevant applications of the producing trade. Materials used for the floor covering (tiles, base plates,

laminate, etc.) can be used for filling the cover. The FI-series manhole covers are optionally manufactured of stainless steel, material grade 304, steel, galvanised or aluminium. The usual delivery scope in-cludes clearance widths (length x width in mm) of 450 x 1,000 mm to 600 x 3,000

mm. Random lengths and special widths are possible as custom production.

Servokat FI manhole covers

Servokat FI manhole covers are used wherever it is necessary to open the man-hole covers frequently for maintenance and inspection purposes. The Servokat FI manhole cover is therefore permanently

connected with the inspection frame via hinges, the manhole cover is opened via an opening aid and a built-in pneumatic spring. The delivery range for Servokat FI manhole covers includes clearance widths

(length x width in mm) of 600 x 600 mm to 1000 x 1,000 mm, i.e. 1200 x 600 mm. They are optionally manufactured of stainless steel, material grade 304 or steel, galvanised.

Suitable for the following in-stallation points

A 15 Traffic areas, which can be exclusively used by pedestrians or cyclists and comparable areas, such as green spaces.

B 125 Walkways, pedestrian areas and comparable areas, vehicle parking areas and multi-storey car parks.

EN 1253

Load class of the gully grating / manhole cover

Suitable for the following in-stallation points

L 15 Areas with light traffic, without forklifts, in com-mercially used areas.

M 125 Surfaces with traffic, e.g. in workshops, fac-tories and car parks.

Surfaces in the pedestrian areas must meet high requirements in design as well as weight bearing capacity, safety and service life. Specific requirements are that they are slip-proof, and therefore non-skid and level. The added filling of the covers must basically suffice traffic loads. It is therefore essential to note the installa-tion and operating instructions enclosed with our products.

Installation

Caution: The manhole cover may only be concreted with an inserted and tightly screwed on cover. The frame profile must be completely filled with concrete B 35 and verify that concrete is not located

between the frame and cover. Carefully concrete the manhole cover. In manhole covers for selectable surfaces (Load class: A 15/L 15) fill the cover pan with concrete B 35. Include the covering

thickness (tiles, PVC surface, carpeting, etc.) accordingly. Maximum covering thickness of 25 mm.

Planning information

The cleaning covers are inserted into hori-zontal pipes within buildings. They serve as cleaning and maintenance openings and can be installed in ceilings as well as in base plates.

Finor cleaning covers are sealed to pre-vent odours and secure against backflow up to 0.5 bar. The maintenance opening equals approximately 170 mm, whereby the actually inspectable width depends on

the pipe dimensions used. The following screwed on cover designs are possible:

Product selection

ACO building services optionally manu-factures the cleaning covers of cast iron, material EN-GJL-200 or stainless steel, material grade 304. The selection of

the material and type of filling must be selected in reference to the application. If necessary, the Finor cleaning covers are

also available in a 2-part version with a compression-sealing flange.
