Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) Region I WY Chapter B, Cheyenne WY & All Wyoming March 2012
Hi,
Riding season is just around the corner. But which corner? The days are getting longer and
the snow banks are getting deeper. With over a foot of snow in February we might have a nice
March. DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH!!!!!
After the March meeting on the 10th some of us will make a trip to Colorado to see some of
our friends south of the border and eat spaghetti. Colorado District Fundraiser -- 5-9pm --
at the Trinity Presbyterian Church, 7755 Vance Drive, Arvada, Colorado 80003.
Our Chapter B Birthday Party will soon be here -- March 24th -- 26 Years -- at the Knights of
Columbus Hall. Breakfast will start at 9 AM with a short program and silent auction to follow.
Now I need your help. We need items for the silent auction Anyone having an item you
could donate to the silent auction PLEASE bring it to the meeting or call Dan & Jacque or
Paulette & myself. We also need people to help with the auction and selling tickets.
Excellent way to meet other GWRRA members.
On April 22nd, Nebraska Chapter W will celebrate their chapter's birthday. Presently, time and
place are not available. Should know more by our meeting or at our birthday party.
We are also looking for nominations for couple of the year and individual of the year. If you
have a couple or individual you would like to nominate let us know ASAP. Thank you.
By the time man finally figures out women -- he is no longer interested.
Till we eat again!!!!!

Hi Everyone:
This has not been a very exciting month. I am glad that spring is on
the way. We have had enough cold wind but not enough snow. We need
more of the white stuff!!
We did have a backup camera installed on the truck. It is wonderful.
You can really see what’s back there. You can also do different views
that show the sides of the vehicle.
My best friend Brian Mercer has been really ill since January 2. He was
in the hospital in Longmont, Co. until February 10, 2012. Now he is in
the Northern Colorado Rehabilitation Hospital at Loveland, Co. We have
been making many trips south to visit him.
I guess I’ll say goodbye for now and hope to have more interesting
things to say in the future.

Hi everyone,Hi everyone,Hi everyone,Hi everyone,
March is here, spring is just 21 days away. Is your bike ready to ride, have you done
your “T-CLOCS” inspections? If you aren’t familiar with this inspection, check it out
on GWRRA’s web site and I will have some copies at the Breakfast Meeting. You need
to check your tire condition, air pressure, cooling system, change engine oil, clean
battery terminals. Clean your bike, while checking hoses and all fluids. It’s a whole lot
easier to do this type of maintenance in your garage than it is to call “Tow Busters”
when you’re away from home. I haven’t heard if we are having a maintenance day yet. I
should know by our monthly breakfast meeting when and where. If it is something that
you cannot do, remember to call Phil, he can work on your wing at a reasonable rate.
When you go for that first ride you need to be extremely careful. Four wheelers are not
looking for us. They haven’t seen a lot of motorcycles since November. Also watch for
the sand and potholes on our wonderful city streets. There is getting to be a lot of
them.
Let’s get ready to ride.
Until next month, Always remember to:
Ride Safe and Ride Often

GWRRA Wyoming District Directors
Greetings Wyoming Members
We cannot believe we are writing for the March newsletter already. Time goes by
so fast, but it is bringing us closer to the riding season. We hope you all have some
great trips planned for this spring and summer.
In the past month the District Team members have been busy finishing the year
end reports and getting all of them submitted to the Region and National Offices on
time. We thank all of you who got your reports to us in a timely manner which
helped us to accomplish this goal. Good job everyone!
One unfortunate thing did happen this past month; we had to close the GWRRA
Wyoming Chapter C in the Rock Springs and Green River area. All efforts were
made to keep the Chapter open, but we were unable to get any interest from the
former members to keep the Chapter open. We are always sad to have to close a
Chapter.
On a lighter note, the Wyoming District Team members are preparing for our
Spring Planning Meeting that will be held in Sheridan, WY on Saturday March 31st.
The meeting will be held at the Sheridan Holiday Inn. There we will finalize many
of our plans for the Wyoming District Convention. We are looking forward to seeing
all our friends from around Wyoming in attendance. We are hoping that each of the
Chapter Directors will attend this meeting or be able to send a representative from
each chapter. But, all members are welcome to attend.
With some of the plans we have seen so far, the Wyoming District Convention
looks like it will be a great time with lots of rides planned and fun for all. More
details on the events will be available after the Spring Meeting. We hope you all will
make plans to join us in Sheridan on June 28th, 29th, and 30th.
All of us on the District Team would like to sincerely thank all of the Chapter
Directors, their Assistants, and their Chapter Members for your help and support in
this past year. We appreciate all of you very much and are looking forward to seeing
our friends down the road and having some FUN!
Ride Safe!
