Christmas with the Chefs

December2,2017,weheldour29thannualscholarshipbenefithostedbytheAmericanCulinaryFederation,KonaKohalaChefsAssociation,“ChristmaswiththeChefs.”ThispremierholidaypartyfortheislandofHawai’iwillcelebrateits30thyearonDecember1,2018.

Theproceedsaredirectedtowards

Hawai’iCommunityCollege-PalamanuiCulinaryArtsStudentScholarshipAwardsandforACFchaptermembersEducationalScholarships.Three$2000scholarshipsareawardedforsecondyearstudents,three$2000scholarshipsareawardedtoincomingstudents,andthree$2000scholarshipsareawardedtostudentseligiblefrombothclasses.ForChefsandCooks$500isavailable/yearforcontinuingeducationsupport.

“ChristmaswiththeChefs”originatedasChristmasatHulihe’e30yearsagoonDecember1,1989.JeanHull,EventFounder,presentedtheconceptofshowcasingtheculinarytalentsoftheKona-Kohalachefs,complimentedbyfinewinesandKonacoffeeasabenefit.ItwastobeacoordinatefundraiserforHulihe`ePalace,theCulinaryArtsprogramatHawaiiCommunityCollege-WestHawai`iandtheKona-KohalaChefsAssociation.Shepresentedthis‘formula’onApril4,1989totheACFKona-KohalaChefsAssociationandtoHulihe`ePalace.ItwasreceivedwithmuchAloha.

Thisyear,theorganizingcommittee,underKellyDrysdale’sleadership,isplanningaveryspecialholidaypartytocelebratethe30thanniversaryofthescholarshipbenefitonDecember1,2018.Staytuned…….
