Summary of Findings, Conclusions and Recommendations
The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of technological development of
cellphones to the behavior of the adoloescents. To come up with this, descriptive method of research
was used and normative survey to gather data to find out the correlation between the variables.
Summary of Findings
The present study investigated the impact of technological development of cellphones to the
behavior of the Psychology Students of PUP. The obtained findings of the study were as follows:
1. The profile of the respondents
a. There is a larger percentage of female respondents that male.
b. There were more students who fall under the age braket of sixteen (16) to seventeen (17).
The findings shows that most of the respondents are younger.
2. The percentage of the effect of the technological development
a. The result shows that 64.67% of the respondents says that the technological development
affect them in terms of socialization.
b. The result shows that 55.63% of the respondents affect their self esteem, negatively or
positively, by the development of technology.
c. The result shows that 42.67% of the respondents affect their school performance by the
development of technology. The result also means that almost half of the respondents does
not produce change concerning their school performance by conforming to the
technological change.
3. There was a significant relationship between the technological development of cellphones and
the behavior of the adolescents.
Conclusion
Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions are drawn:
1. Majority of the respondents are 16-17 years old, female.
2. The behavior of the psychology students of PUP is correlated with the changes in technological
developments of cellphones. The effect of it manifested in their socialization, self-esteem and
school performance.
3. There was a significant relationship between the technological development of cellphones and
the behavior of the adolescents.
Recommendations
Based on the abovementioned conclusions, the following are recommended:
1. Parents and guardians should be aware and sensitive enough to the fast development of
technology.
2. The professors must advise the students to limit use of cellphone during class hours that might
affect the acquisition of knowledge.
3. The youth must know the advantage and disadvantage of the cellular phones.
