Chapter 15 Location : AUPE Head Office Medicine Hat Date: April 11, 2018 Time: 18:30-20:00 Call to Order: Chapter Chair Ken Rose called the meeting to order at 18:34. Statement of Equality: Vice Chair Derek Yates read the AUPE Statement of Equality. Attendance: Ken Rose, Derek Yates, Dave Ibach, Nena Knox, Karl Clauss, Richelle Topping, April Hammel, Randy Assmus, Sylvia Studer Approval of Minutes: Minutes from November 23 rd Chapter Meeting approved. Minutes are on the local 58 website. Correspondence: Derek Yates presented a letter from the Bow Island Health Foundation detailing the Tree of Hope Campaign. This campaign provides funding for the palliative care program in one of Chapter 15’s communities. He asked that the Chapter consider making a donation to the campaign this year. Donations to similar campaigns have been made before. Motion 1: Chapter 15 voted to donate $500 to the Tree of Hope Campaign. Business Arising from Previous Meeting: None. Officers Reports: Chair - No report given. Vice Chair - Nothing to report. Secretary - No report given. Treasurer - Started site visits with the local executive. So far have been to Vulcan, Nanton and Clairesholm. Visits seem to be well received. Site visits will continue next week with Lethbridge, Cardston, Pincher Creek and Crowsnest Pass. Agenda Items:

Call to Order: Chapter Chair Ken Rose called the meeting to order at 18:34.

Statement of Equality: Vice Chair Derek Yates read the AUPE Statement of Equality.

1) Membership Engagement Events - Chapter council discussed the previous yearsmembership engagement events. A barbecue was held in each of Chapter 15’sjurisdictions at one facility in each during the fall. A Christmas raffle was also held.Executive asked for feedback from the council on the interest in holding the same type ofevents or if there were other options that council would like to bring forth. While someoptions were pondered ultimately council decided to keep status quo but with theaddition of another barbecue during the summer as proposed by Dave Ibach. Councilvoted to host a barbecue at the same sites as last year with the addition of Bassano aswe recently gained membership there. Council also voted to hold another Christmasraffle and to keep spending the same as last year.

Motion 2: Chapter 15 will collectively spend approximately $2500 on food and beverage for allsummer member engagement barbecues.

Motion 3: Chapter 15 will collectively spend approximately $2000 on food and beverage for allfall member engagement barbecues.

Motion 4: Chapter 15 hold another Christmas raffle. Amount to be spent on prizes collectivelyshould be approximately $825.00.
