The  first  one  

Jimmy  white,  26,  white.  He  is  about  6’1,  170  pounds,  in  good  shape  and  has  a  short  brown  hair.  He  has  a  cute  girlfriend,  Tracy,  who  is  a  junior  college  student,  major  in  philosophy  and  biology.    His  parents,  Jason  White  and  Barbara  Bush  live  in  a  town  house  in  Richmond,  CA,  both  of  them  never  went  to  college,  and  his  father  works  in  post  office  as  a  driver,  and  his  mother  runs  a  flower  shop  in  downtown.    He  lives  in  apartment  in  downtown,  San  Francisco.  His  apartment  is  kind  of  messy,  because  he  live  alone  and  never  pay  attention  to  make  his  room  tidy.  Of  course,  he  don’t  mind  it.  On  the  wall,  there  are  some  pictures  of  his  family  and  two  jerseys  of  Magic  Johnson  and  Kobe  Bryant,  who  are  his  favorite  basketball  star.    He  is  working  in  an  investment  company  as  a  stock  trader  that  is  well-­‐paid.  What  his  favorite  sport  is  basketball,  and  his  favorite  team  is  UCLA  where  he  graduated  from  and  Los  Angeles  Lakers.  He  is  crazy  about  basketball  and  basketball  almost  takes  all  of  his  spare  time.  He  drives  a  08  Camaro,  which  is  he  paid  back  all  his  loans  of  college  tuition  and  buy  this  car.  .  He  collected  so  many  jerseys  and  pins  of  UCLA  and  LA  Lakers.  In  his  daily  life,  he  usually  to  wear  hoodies  and  jeans  ,  and    he  would  wear  suite  in  his  working  days.  He  is  a  ambitious  guy  and  to  be  a  rich  enough  and  run  a  foundation  company  or  even  to  be  shareholder  of  a  NBA  team.  

1. Jimmy  is  drinking  beer  alone  in  a  bar,  because  he  feels  frustrated  to  lose  a  big  customer  and  game  in  his  business  and  UCLA  lost  the  basketball.  

2. Jimmy  is  sitting  outside  of  office  of  his  boss,  waiting  for  a  talk  with  his  boss.    What  was  worse,  he  just  heard  of  the  company  decided  to  cut  stuff  recently  

 

The  second  one  

“Leo  Kite,  21,  half  Japanese  and  half  German.  Thin  and  tall,  very  attractive  for  his  age.  He  has  dark  brown  hair  and  eyes  with  matching  color.  He  is  not  too  muscular  but  has  healthy  tan  skin  color.  He  is  about  180  pounds,  6’4’’.  He  is  currently  a  college  student,  Sophomore  with  a  Junior  class  standing.  Leo’s  dad,  William  Kite,  is  a  lawyer,  thus  Leo  is  double  majoring  in  lawyer  and  Japanese.    Leo  has  two  siblings,  an  older  sister  and  an  older  brother,  both  have  graduated  from  college.  Leo’s  mother,  Jessica  Nakamura  Kite,  emigrated  from  Japan  years  ago.  Because  of  his  mother,  Leo  wants  to  spend  some  years  in  Japan  after  graduation.  Leo’s  college  is  hours  from  his  home,  so,  right  now,  Leo  lives  in  a  small  apartment  near  his  college.  He  owns  a  cheaply  bought  red  ’05  Ford  Focus.  Leo  is  very  independent  and  is  working  multiple  jobs  while  obtaining  a  solid  GPA  in  school.  On  holidays,  however,  Leo  always  returns  to  his  family  in  Kansas  City.  His  house  is  old  but  still  in  good  shape.  His  neighbors  are  mostly  old  and  friendly.  Leo’s  family  owns  four  cats  and  a  dog.  His  mother,  Jessica  doesn’t  have  a  job  and  is  usually  home  taking  care  of  the  pets.  Leo’s  family  is  not  rich  but  all  his  family  members,  beside  him,  seem  to  have  a  passion  for  branded  clothing.  Thus,  Leo,  by  often  wearing  his  brother’s  old  clothes,  is  thought  to  be  wealthy  by  his  collogues.”  

   

1.              Leo’s  father  lost  his  job  and  the  family  lost  the  main  and  most  only  income  in  the  family.  Leo  thus  has  to  work  more  jobs  on  the  side  to  support  his  family.    

2.              Leo’s  grade  is  suffering  from  his  constant  working  and  family  issues.  He  is  struggling  very  hard  to  balance  between  school  work  and  daily  life  in  order  to  keep  his  scholarship.      

 

The  third  one  

“Elaine  Zhang,  34,  Asian.  Came  from  China  when  she  was  little  but  can  still  speak  Chinese  well.  A  little  plump  but  still  in  good  shape.  She  has  long  black  hair  and  very  pale.  She  has  gained  30  pounds  in  the  past  year  and  is  now  140  pounds,  5’5”.  She  is  currently  a  plastic  surgeon  in  New  York  Presbyterian  Hospital.  She  married  her  high  school  sweetheart  in  Medical  School  a  few  years  ago.  Her  husband,  Eric  Patterson,  35,  is  a  well-­‐known  engineer.  She  just  gave  birth  to  her  first  child,  Mary  Rose  Patterson.  Elaine’s  mother,  Lucy  Zhang,  flew  from  China  to  New  York  in  order  to  take  care  of  the  baby  a  month  ago  since  the  couple  is  too  occupied  with  their  jobs.  Elaine  now  lives  in  a  half  million  house  fourth  minutes  away  from  her  work.  She  has  a  nice  neighborhood  with  great  views  and  a  beautiful  environment.  She  drives  a  black  ’09  Toyota  Yaris.  Elaine  loves  pets  and  decides  to  buy  a  small  dog  or  a  cat  after  Mary  gets  a  little  bigger.  Her  family  members  and  she  are  all  well  dressed.  Elaine,  just  like  her  mother,  is  very  germ  phobic  and  thus  her  house  is  spot  clean  so  is  her  car,  office,  her  clothes  and  everything  else.    

   

1.              Elaine’s  mother  is  tired  of  life  in  America  and  wants  to  go  back  to  China.  However,  Elaine  doesn’t  know  who  else  to  find  to  take  care  of  her  baby.    

2.              Eric  comes  home  less  and  less  now  due  to  his  work.  Elaine  finds  herself  very  lonely  and  very  attracted  to  a  new  doctor  in  the  hospital.
