Charge Unit Skatepark general rules and terms & conditions. General rules:

1. Only the use of skateboards, BMXs, Aggressive skates, Jump bikes and scooters are permitted in the skatepark.  

2. Helmets must be worn at all times by all users under the age of 18, and by those under instruction. Charge Unit strongly recommends that  you also wear appropriate protective equipment.  

3. Respect other users by riding responsibly within your limits. Show patience when riding alongside beginners and offer help if you  see someone struggling.  

4. Ensure your equipment is in good working order.  

5. Only one participant to ride a ramp at a time.  

6. No running in the Building.  

7. Do not block fire exits or aisles.  

8. You must take care when using the ramps especially when there is more than one person using an individual ramp. Only one  person is permitted to drop in at any one time.  

9. You should not attempt any piece of equipment or maneuver that you feel is beyond your skill level.  

10. New users and beginners to the skatepark are advised to familiarise themselves with the ‘rhythm’ of the park, this includes  making note of all signage around the skatepark.  

11. The consumption of food and drink on site is allowed if purchased from the Charge Unit cafe and must be consumed in the designated  area of the Skatepark or the cafe only. For safety reasons please put all rubbish in bins provided.  

12. Children under the age of 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult/ responsible person over the age of 18 at all times.  

Terms & Conditions of the Charge Unit Skatepark.

1. Staff are here for your safety and have a duty of care to make comment on unsafe practices. Anyone who does not follow safe practices even after comment will be asked to attend a refresher course, or in severe cases have their registration revoked.  

2. Use of recording equipment and photography in the skatepark is prohibited unless prior permission is gained or granted. Charge Unit will be using monitoring equipment and this footage and copyright is the property of Charge Unit solely. Users are advised this footage will be used for promotional and 

training purposes only.  

3. Alcohol consumption on the premises is strictly forbidden. Any person deemed to be intoxicated will be refused entry. Possession or consumption of illegal substances will not be tolerated.  

4. Smoking is prohibited throughout the building.  

5. Any anti‐social or abusive behaviour towards other users or staff will not be tolerated.  

6. Littering, vandalism or graffiti will not be tolerated anywhere in/around the facility.  

7. School attendees should be aware that we will be contacting the local Truancy team if we suspect anyone to be at the skatepark  at a time we believe they should be a school.  

8. You agree to abide by instructions given to you by Charge Unit instructors and staff at all times.  

9. No one is allowed to enter the skatepark without having been through reception to book in.  

10. No opening of fire exits other than in the event of an emergency.  

11. Payment for use of the facility will be made prior to participation. Anyone found to be in breach of this will be subject to having  their membership removed.  

12. If attending an instructed session no refunds will be made for ‘no shows’, late entry (other than that which was due to Charge Unit’s delay)  or leaving a session prematurely. Exceptional circumstances may apply.  

13. Any deception on the part of users of the skatepark will result in membership review. Such as multiple people using one  membership, fraudulent entry to facility, forgery of documents etc.  

14. Personal items should not be left in the skatepark; they risk theft and are a trip hazard to other users.  

15. Property left in Charge Unit is done so at the owners own risk.  

16. The management reserve the right to refuse entry to any persons, without explanation.  

17. Due to the hazardous nature of activities performed in the Charge Unit, participants are advised that this is an extremely dangerous  environment and entry is done so at your own risk. Liability for personal injury or death cannot be taken by Extreme Sports Project Limited & Charge Unit,  its 

directors, staff and volunteers, unless there is evidence of negligence.  

18. You agree to waive all liability claims against Charge Unit & extreme sports project limited, employees and volunteers for any injuries, ailments or  other damage to you or your property whilst using the Charge Unit skatepark.
