PackThe key to making your move in to the Residence Hall as smooth as possible is to come in prepared.

Follow some of these tips to help make your

move fast & fun:

Review the Housing website to see the list of prohibited

items (uah.edu/housing)

Bring only the essentials - There is a Walmart, Target, Bed

ParkWith everyone moving in on the same day, parking near the hall can be a challenge during move in.

Know the rules:Parents and guests are allowed to park in the parking lots

near the hall without permits (Only during move in weekend)

Students can purchase a parking decal for the school year

online: parking.uah.edu

Parking is not allowed in front of the buildings or in any

roundabouts during move in at any time. You will be able to

drop off belongings in the roundabout on Saturday, but you can

not park or leave your vehicle unattended.

Our move in Volunteers will be assisting students at move in

Check InBefore you head up to your new room, you will need to check in and complete some paperwork.

The Check In Process:Step 1: Park your vehicle and walk into the Residence Hall where directed

Step 2: Check in Will start at in the MPR, which is the first set of doors past the front doors of Charger Village. At this time we will confirm your assignment, receive your keys, have your hall sticker placed on your charger card, and complete administrative paperwork.

If you haven’t submitted your immunization paperwork or housing contracts do so here

Step 3: Leave the MPR to go to the front desk where you will have your charger card programmed and have your hall sticker placed on your charger card,

Step 4: Once you’ve had your charger card programmed, you can start to move in your belongings.

You can register your bike at the front desk. All bikes on campus must be registered. To do so you

will need: Make, Model, Color, & Serial Number.

MoveMoving in to your new home is an exciting time! This is the time to decorate and make your space your own.

Here are some frequently asked questions about moving

in to your new room:Can I move around or remove any of the furniture in my room?

Students are welcome to rearrange furniture in their suites to fit their taste, but

removal of any furniture items is not allowed.

How do i loft/Bunk my bed to allow for more room?

You can make a request for help at the Front desk of your building. We also

encourage you to bring a rubber mallet to loft the beds and make adjustments.

What if there is a maintenance issue?

During move in our maintenance technicians are available to help with any concerns.

You can report any issues to the front desk.
