Return to the barge for lunch and sail down to Vallabrègues, a quiet and charming little port, a good place to rest, have a bike ride, or play pétanque under the plane trees.

WEDNESDAYAfter breakfast, visit the charming medieval village of Les Baux de Provence, with time for shopping. Back on the barge, pass through the huge 16-metre-high lock of Beaucaire and sail down to Arles, the open-air museum of Provence.

THURSDAYThe guided visit in Arles this morning will delve into Ro-man antiquity and Van Gogh’s year here in 1888. Then, cruise the Rhône River, the Petit Rhône, and the canal to reach Gallician, a quiet and typical village of the Camargue.

FRIDAYFor the last day of the excursion, visit a typical ranch, where the local cowboys show how they tend herds of bulls on their superb white Camargue horses. Our final destination is Aigues-Mortes, a 14th century walled city. Farewell dinner on board.

DAY 1 TUESDAY: Welcome in AvignonMake your way to the Avignon TGV station or the Mar-seille Airport. You will be driven from there to Avignon centre by coach. After a first lunch and a short walking tour of the city of Avignon, including the Papal Palace, transfer to the car or bike rental station to pick up your vehicle. You will then travel to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, a beautiful village located in the heart of the Alpilles Mountains, for dinner and overnight accommodation.

DAY 3 THURSDAY: GORDES / GORDESA truly impressive day on scenic roads: Start with the an-cient Roman town of Vaison-La-Romaine then climb Mt Ventoux, called the Giant of Provence, in a protected and wonderful forest. Have lunch in Crillon-le-Brave then pro-ceed to the village of Sault, in a lavender growing area, with a tasting visit at a Nougat factory. Your route will pass around Mt Ventoux through very scenic areas before re-turning to Gordes for your second night at the same hotel.

DAY 2 WEDNESDAY: ST REMY / GORDESTravel on the road to Les Baux-de-Provence for a private tour and visit of an Olive Oil Mill then proceed to Les Baux village for a guided tour and some leisure time to stroll in the narrow streets with a fantastic view on the Alpilles Mountains and the Camargue Plain! After lunch, an af-ternoon trip will bring you to Gordes, one of the most beautiful villages of France on a very scenic road, with a surprise tasting. Dinner and overnight stay in Gordes.

DAY 4 FRIDAY: GORDES / AVIGNONAn epicurean delight for you today! A lovely road brings you to Haute Provence, a region between the Lure and the Luberon Mountains. You will discover the famous pastis drink followed by a typical meal near Forcalquier. Then drive back to the Alpilles Mon-tains and Camargue to return the bikes and cars at the rental stations. Transfer in deluxe minibus to Avignon, the capital city of Côtes du Rhône wines. Here you will have a wonderful farewell dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 5 SATURDAY: Departure from AVIGNONAfter a full breakfast, transfer to the TGV station or to the Marseille Airport (optional).

TERMS AND CONDITIONSFailure to arrive at the airport on time on the day of departure or not to be on time for the various convocations during the trip, for any reason.Unauthorized statements of acts of misinterpretations made by any travel agency of its employees relating to the standards, quality, services and inclusions of the vacation programs purchased VICTOURS INTERNATIONAL reserves the right to modify the itinerary or the carriers, substitute accommodation whenever necessary or cancel the trip completely. In such an event it will not be liable for claims, damages or losses beyond the refund of costs. In the even of cancellation of the trip by VICTOURS INTERNATIONAL the full refund of monies paid will represent the final settlement with the passenger. If a modification in the itinerary results in a saving, a refund would be made. Conversely if the modification should entail additional expenses, such expenses would be borne by the passenger.
