What is your job?: A chartered accountant provides financial advice to clients that range from multinational organisations and governmental bodies or small businesses. They work in a wide range of business sectors and has a wide range of roles. This includes; a tax accountant, management accountant, budget analysts, financial accountants and auditors. Duties can include; Prepare corporate and personal income tax statements Formulate tax strategies Cost analysis Analysis of new contacts How to control expenses efficiently Prepare financial statements Planning and long-term projections Financial decisions Developing and managing an organisation’s financial plans Checking accounting ledgers and financial statements within corporations and the government. Why do you love your job? I love my job because I get to watch and help new and small businesses grow. I get to help clients feel more relaxed about their finances and there business. Being a chartered accountant it gives me the opportunity to work nearly anywhere around the world. It is a great experience working with all these different businesses and always expanding your knowledge. Salary: Fully qualified accountants can earn £26,000-£50,000+ however, six to nine years after qualifying you ear £85,000.
