150 A 1957/58 Francis Barnett Plover motorcycle, black and white. Francis Barnett
produced lightweight small capacity motorcycles between 1919 and 1964 for the
commuter and these were very popular with trail and scramble riders. This Plover
has been restored and comes direct from a Somerset collector. During the
restoration the original 150cc Villiers engine was replaced with the larger
capacity 197cc version. There is no logbook or history accompanying the
motorcycle and the new purchaser will have to apply to DVLA for a new
registration document. No MOT or tax See illustration
151 A 1987 Suzuki GSXR1100h, registration number E302 BSO, red and black. This
show condition GSXR1100h (Slabby) was purchased by the vendor in 2009 from
Henderson's Garage at Nairn in Scotland after a three year search. Not satisfied
with the overall condition he embarked on a full nut and bolt rebuild which was
carried out by West Side Motorcycles & Customs in Weston Super Mare to
concourse condition. E302 BSO went on to win the RBLR Weston Super Mare
Japanese theme night (Bike of the Night) and has been on display with V & J
Superbikes at their Yeovil (Suzuki) and Bridgwater (Honda) showrooms.
Accompanying the motorcycle are a matching helmet and gloves, an original
sale/insurance booklet, an assembly and pre-delivery booklet, a service and
owner's manual and various superbike/performance magazines. The history file
contains service and restoration receipts. This 17,000 miles from new
GSXR1100h now offers the next owner a show ready bike to compete at
concourse level including the RBLR Bike of the Year. V5C, MOT to April 2011,
taxed to May 2011 See illustrations

157 A 1974 MG Midget Mk III 1275cc, registration number SED 47M, chassis
number GAN143395G, engine number 1341, red. The Mk III was available
between 1966 and 1974 and was instantly recognisable from the previous Mk I
and Mk II by the distinctive round rear wheel arches. SED 47M has been with the
present lady owner since 1989. The car was purchased in June and a major
restoration was completed by August of the same year. A brief outline of the
restoration work carried out includes a full engine strip down and rebuild with
reconditioned cylinder head, a new oil pump, de-coke, new gaskets, camshaft,
new black carpets and black vinyl trim, a new hood and full tonneau cover, a
body refurbishment and respray with new off side and near side inner front wings,
foot wells, inner sills, inner and outer rear wheel arches, a new clutch, exhaust,
brakes, suspension and numerous other items. The recorded mileage was 94,964
miles at the end of the restoration. During the next 22 years SED 47M has been
garaged and used on high days and holidays, with a current mileage now reading
just over 99,500 miles. Since April 2002 when the last MOT expired SED 47M
has remained in dry storage. After such a long period of inactivity SED 47M will
now require recommissioning and the usual safety checks before taking to the
road once again. There is a large history file accompanying the car with old
MOTs, a summary of the restoration and maintenance bills back to 1984. V5, no

158 A 1994 Mini Cooper 1.3i, registration number M160 OCF, British Racing Green
with a white roof and racing stripes, with black half leather interior. The iconic
Alec Issigonis designed Mini was launched in 1959 and revolutionised small car
design. Available under both Austin (Seven) and Morris (Mini Minor)
designations, the Mini featured a transversely mounted BMC A series engine of
848 cc, sitting on top of the gear box/differential unit, and driving the front
wheels. Underneath the box like body the suspension was by rubber cones and
the distinctive wheel at each corner design afforded excellent road holding. This
three owner Mini Cooper was purchased from a previous Charterhouse auction
and has had little use in the last two years. V5C, ***no current MOT***, no

161 A 1974 Triumph Stag, registration number TAA 334M, chassis number
LD314510, engine number LF025342HE, Triumph white. The Giovanni
Michelotti styled Triumph Stag was launched in 1970. In 1964 a tired 2000
saloon was dispatched to Italy for Giovanni to restyle the car in preparation for
the Turin Motor Show. Whilst visiting the factory the engineering director, Harry
Webster, saw the two door four seater tourer and immediately purchased the
design. Further development work took place in England including the fitting of
the distinctive T roll bar and the installation for Triumph's all new 3 litre V8
engine. This desirable manual overdrive lady owned Triumph Stag is finished in
Triumph white with a saddle tan interior and has the desirable and unusual
chrome wire wheels. This Stag also has the usual refinements of power assisted
steering, electric windows, mohair soft top and works hard top. The mileage of
82,000 miles is believed to be genuine and there is a large history file of past
receipts, old MOTs, handbooks and general correspondence to substantiate the
mileage. V5, V5C, MOT to August 2011, tax to September 2011 See

approximately 227,000 rolling off the production line. OIA 63 is finished in
metallic sage green with a green tex interior. The usual refinements of automatic
transmission, power assisted steering, electric windows, and hard and soft tops are

In the current ownership of six years the car has seen very little use, only covering
approximately 1500 miles. The vendor informs us that there is a stamped service
book, old MOTs and receipts, but unfortunately they weren't available to view at
the time of cataloguing, it is hoped that they will be available on the view days.

The very rare Wolseley Wasp had a very short production run of just two years
between 1934 and 1935 and it is believed that only twelve remain in running
order. This Wasp, which is attractively finished in green over black body work
with a green leather interior, is powered by the 1069cc four cylinder engine driven
through a four speed gearbox and has been in the current ownership for
approximately 25 years. A body off rebuild was undertaken 22 years ago and the
car has been maintained as necessary since. PV 2677 has completed several tours
and rallies since the restoration and has taken many a bride to her wedding. The
history file contains numerous old MOTs, receipts and restoration history. This

170 A 1989 Lancia Delta Integrale 16V Turbo, registration number G785 SGK,
chassis number ZLA831AB000482053, engine number 83105, metallic grey. The
Delta range was first introduced to the United Kingdom in 1980 and remained
virtually unchanged until 1986, when small changes were made to the cars body
shape, the engines were updated and the four wheel drive model was introduced.
While the majority of Delta models were ordinary small family saloons, the most
famous model was the Delta Integrale, a four wheel drive hot hatch with a
powerful turbo charged engine. A tweaked version of the Delta HF dominated the
World Rally Championship, scoring 46 WRC victories overall and winning the
Constructors Championship a record six times in a row from 1987 to 1992, and
additionally winning the Drivers Championship titles for Juha Kankkunen (1987
and 1991) and Miki Biasion (1988 and 1989). This left hand drive 2 litre 16 valve
turbo charged 200 bhp Integrale was imported from Italy in 1997. It is finished in
metallic grey with original Recaro seats trimmed in grey Alcantara. It further
benefits from having four wheel drive, a five speed gearbox, electric windows, an
ABS braking system and power assisted steering. The three owners have lavished
a great deal of care and attention on the car including a reconditioned gearbox
with new synchromesh on second and third gears, a new clutch, clutch master and
slave cylinder, all belts, water pump, turbo charger, brake bias valve, oil
temperature and pressure sensors, new tyres, new suspension rings, new stainless
steel exhaust, Brembo brakes and re-upholstering of the door cards, front seats
and head lining. There is a good history file accompanying the car including
handbooks, maintenance and restoration receipts. The Delta Integrale is a real
drivers car which had a top speed of 137 mph and a 0-60 time of 5.5 seconds
when new, these figures are impressive even by today's standards and the new
owner will no doubt relish the prospects of using the performance to the full.

176 A 1968 MG C Roadster, registration number OJN 145F, chassis number
GCN12155G, engine number 29C/UH2054, tartan red. The much maligned MG
C was launched in 1967 and had a short two year production run. It was produced
in both Roadster and GT forms and approximately 4,500 of each were
manufactured. The MG C was introduced by BMC to fill the gap left by the
outgoing Austin Healey 3000 but the MG C range never captured the hearts' of
the enthusiasts in the same way as the large Healeys. The period press were very
scathing of the handling with its understeer caused by the heavy three litre straight
six engine. The MG C Roadster offered for auction has a black leather interior
with contrasting red piping, a black double duck hood and a tonneau cover. The
engine and running gear has received some performance and restoration work,
including an unleaded cylinder head, a Downton Tune six branch manifold, a
front suspension rebuild incorporated MG motor-sport components with negative
camber and polybushes. The history file contains old MOTs, service and
restoration bills, with a recent receipt from Sigma Engineering for an engine tune
in September 2010. This well sorted MG C Roadster should now offer the next
owner a good alternative to an Austin Healey 3000, and the owner informs us that

177 A 1970 Ford Escort 1300 Super four door saloon, registration number GOO
220H, chassis number BB5PJK29407, red. Ford's Escort was an instant hit when
it became available in 1968 and was destined to be Britain's best selling car for
many years. It was available in various body styles and engine capacities to suit
all needs. The Escort also had an illustrious competition history winning
numerous rally and track events, including the World Rally Championship. This
very original four door saloon finished in dark red with a contrasting maroon
interior was delivered on the 11th March 1970 to Gates of Harlow-Essex where it
was collected by the new owner. Over the next 32 years the meticulous new
owner maintained a petrol log recording mileage and price per gallon. The
current mileage of approximately 79,000 is supported by a history file, which
contains the original bill of sale, old MOTs, service receipts and a workshop
manual. The vendor informs us that the Escort's shell is rust free and after a
service and light recommissioning, having spent a few years in storage, is running
well and on our recent visit the Escort started readily and ran smoothly. Early
Escorts are now becoming an increasingly rare sight on today's roads and such an

178 A 1958 Austin A105 Westminster Vanden Plas, registration number 32 CHU,
chassis number B58HC056814, cream with maroon roof and flashes. The Austin
A105 had a short production run of only three years between 1956-59 and the
luxury Vanden Plas version was very rare indeed. Only 500 examples were
produced and it is believed there are only five running examples on the road
today. The car is powered by the same engine as used in the Austin Healey 100/6
mated to a floor change four speed gearbox with overdrive on third and fourth
gears. This endowed the model with a fair turn of speed, with the 0 - 60 mph dash
achieved in a fraction over 15 seconds and going on to a top speed just short of
100 mph when new. The A105 was the first mass-produced Austin model to
receive Vanden Plas luxury leather and walnut interiors and coachwork
refinements and for this reason is historically significant within the British motor
industry. To reinforce the importance and status of the A105 Vanden Plas,
Leonard Lord, the managing director of Austin, took delivery of the first
production car for his personal transport. 32 CHU has been with the current
Somerset owner since 1968 and during his ownership of over 40 years he has
maintained the car to a high standard and rebuilt the engine, gearbox and back
axle. She has been finished in a striking colour scheme of cream and maroon,
complimented by beautifully preserved tan leather upholstery, a walnut dashboard
and door cappings, a West of England cloth headlining and fawn Wilton carpets.
Accompanying the car are useful new and old spares, including front wings, a
back valance, a new front cross member, new weather strips and numerous other
increasingly hard to find items. There is a good history file from the 1960s to the
present day with old MOTs, numerous service and maintenance receipts and
handbooks. The vendor in forms us that 32 CHU is on the button, will be driven

charming one lady owner, who is a member of the Vanden Plas Owners Club, was
purchased for her from Wadham Stringer in Bournemouth, Dorset by her husband
in March 1974 and she has been the proud owner ever since. RRU 136N is a well
known car in the Blandford Forum area of Dorset where she has been an everyday
sight on local roads for over 40 years. In recent years she has lived a more sedate
life only covering a few hundred miles each year on local shopping trips and
attending classic car shows . The maroon coachwork is complimented by dark
blue leather upholstery, a beige roof lining and the usual luxurious Vanden Plas
refinements of a walnut dashboard and door cappings, rear picnic tables (for those
days at the races!) and black Wilton carpets. The history file is very
comprehensive as one would expect for a one lady owner car, with the original
bill of sale, original owner's handbook, a good run of old MOTs, service receipts
and correspondence. Accompanying the car is a large quantity of useful spares
amassed by the vendor's husband, including two windscreens, doors, an engine

183 A 1972 Jaguar E-Type Series III V12 coupé, registration number HYB 70K,
chassis number 1S60897, engine number 7S5439-SB, gearbox number KL2354,
body number 4S53389, ice blue metallic. The legendary E-Type was launched at
the 1961 Geneva Motor Show to rapturous applause and was to become an iconic
symbol of the swinging sixties. Initially available in coupé and roadster forms,
there would eventually be a long wheel base 2+2 coupé version. The Series I cars
had the 3.8 litre engine as used in the XK150, which was subsequently increased
in capacity to 4.2 litres for the Series II and finally the Series III had the all new
V12 engine. Both the Series III roadster and 2+2 coupé incorporated the long
wheel base chassis. This beautifully stored low mileage matching numbers
manual 2+2 coupé has just emerged from a bare shell rebuild and is believed to
have covered only 4,904 miles from new with four owners. The first owner, a
Commander from Yeovilton, Somerset, used this car very sparingly possible due
to his commitments to the armed forces, the second and third owners were a
father and son and the current owner who has rebuilt the car. During the
restoration, which was extensive, the decision was taken to change the original
maroon paint work to ice blue metallic, which has to be said, suits the car very
well. Before the paint was applied both near and off side sills and the passenger
side door skin were replaced with Martin Robey supplied parts. The interior has
been retrimmed by Larry Piper in cream leather with contrasting dark blue
carpets, a new head lining, the Webasto style sunroof was replaced in blue double
duck and the period radio was restored and has been retained. The same attention
to detail has been lavished on the running gear with new brake calipers and
copper brake pipes, clutch and pressure plate, new shock absorbers (Spax
adjustables at the rear), new bushes all round, rebuilt rear axle, detailed engine
and numerous other parts associated with a bare metal shell rebuild. All the
bright work has been replated or polished, which compliments the new paint
work. All of this hard work has cost approximately £27,000 (not including labour)
and took six months to complete. This being the 50th anniversary of the E-Type,
with several large celebrations planned throughout the year, HYB 70K would be
welcomed at any of them and would surely make any owner very proud. The
history file contains a photographic record of the restoration from the initial strip
down through each stage of preparation to the completed car, old MOTS, some
maintenance, service and restoration receipts, owners handbook and a V5. V5C,

185 EXTRA LOT: A 1964 Daimler V8 250 automatic saloon, registration number
EPH 138B, chassis number 1A6243BW, engine number 7A6701, green with
green leather interior. This three former keeper Daimler is a wide bumper car and
sits on painted wire wheels. The vehicle was last MOT'd in 2006 and has been dry
stored since. There is a good history file accompanying the car with service
receipts, owners handbook and numerous MOT dating from 1969. V5C, no MOT
or tax
186 EXTRA LOT: A 1933 Lagonda 16/80 four door pillar-less saloon, with restored
chassis, engine and running gear, and original body and interior. The Lagonda
16/80 was first introduced in 1932, replacing the company's 4 cylinder 2 litre
model. The first part of its name referred to its fiscal horsepower rating of 16
(actually 15.7). Under naming conventions common at the time the second
number in its name might have referred to the cars bhp. However actual power
output fell a long way short of 80 bhp, leading many to think it may have referred
to the cars claimed top speed of 80 mph. The car was unusual in being the only
Lagonda to be offered with a Crossley engine. However each engine purchased
was stripped down by Lagonda, examined and weighed before being re-
assembled and bench run prior to fitment to the chassis. The Lagonda engineers
extracted more power from these engines as well as improving the cooling and
breathing qualities and issued each unit with a nine year guarantee. Available
with saloon and touring bodies, the 16/80 could be ordered with conventional four
speed manual or ENV pre-selector gearbox, enabling swift and easy changes.
Approximately 260 were made, around half of which are believed to have
survived. The car was dropped from Lagonda's range of cars shortly before the
firms dramatic rescue from financial collapse by Alan Good at the end of 1934.
This car, produced in 1933, is a sports original pillar-less saloon coachwork and
was owned by one family for the last fifty years. It was used as everyday
transport for many years until it was felt that the car deserved a face lift and was
therefore taken off the road in 1978, the last tax disc still being displayed in the
windscreen. The owner embarked on a full rebuild over the past thirty years but
sadly did not complete the task. We have been advised that he finished the
mechanicals and the engine runs well and the car drives. It appears that a couple
of doors have been re-skinned, the body is coach painted in black, with the upper
half leather covered. Much of the original cream leather is present, but detached
and most of the interior fittings are with the car. The dashboard is complete with
a full set of instruments and cigar lighter. This is an exciting discovery which
runs and drives well and is an opportunity to complete a car that deserves a return
to the road. £24000.00
187 A 1971 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow Mk I, registration number PRK 256K, chassis

first seen in the Silver Cloud II. PRK 256K, which was supplied by Jack Barclay,
has been with the current owner since 2004 and has been used as part of a
wedding car fleet. Finished in the traditional colour scheme of white coachwork
with a cream leather and walnut interior. Other luxury fitments include power
assisted steering, automatic transmission, electric windows and seats. These Rolls
Royces represent great value in today's market and this example also offers the
next owner a business opportunity with wedding hire to offset some of the
running costs. V5C, MOT to October 2011, ***taxed to September 2011*** See

188 A 1986 Jaguar XJ6 4.2 Series 3, registration number C428 RAN, cranberry red
metallic. This car has under gone recommisioning and restoration by Wolf Direct
Racing in the last two years, including new dampers front and rear, new road
springs, new brake discs and pads, and up-rated steering rack bushes. This XJ6 is
finished with a doe skin leather interior and has air conditioning, electric sunroof,
a state of the art stereo hidden in the glove box and factory tool kit. The car was
also illustrated by David Cleary in one of his limited edition prints. After all of the
extensive restoration work the car is said to drive very well. V5C, ***MOT to

189 A 1977 Daimler XJC Sovereign Coupé, registration number PHP 704R, Regency
red with a black vinyl roof. The XJC was first shown to the general public at the
Frankfurt Motor Show in 1973 alongside the revised Series 2 Model range. The
XJC incorporated the short wheelbase floor pan, with longer doors and a slightly
longer roof line, but was otherwise fundamentally the same as the four door
saloon. The XJC did not go into full production until 1975 because of production
problems associated with wind noise caused by the pillarless design. All XJC
models featured the fashionable vinyl roof which helped to disguise the thickness
of the C pillars. Only 1,677 coupés were manufactured in the two year production
run and are very sought after today. PHP 704R comes from a deceased estate and
was owned for 23 years. For the last two years of ownership the Daimler was not
used and a program of recommissioning has taken place to obtain a new MOT.
This included a full service, new battery, new correct Dunlop tyres and front and
rear screen rubbers. The history file contains history from 1985 and
documentation to verify the recorded mileage. Finished in the original colour
scheme of Regency Red with a black vinyl roof, with a tan leather interior and
automatic transmission. After the recommissioning work the car is said to run
very well. V5C, MOT to January 2012, no current tax See illustrations
190 WITHDRAWN: A 1972 Triumph TR6, registration number AYA 97K, chassis
number CC83086U, engine number CC83363UE, damson. This original left
hand drive TR6 rolled off the production line on 13th June 1972 and was exported
to America on the 22nd of that month. It returned to these shores in the late
1980s and was restored and converted to right hand drive by TRGB in
approximately 1990. This SU carburetter fed engineered car is finished in
damson with black interior. The original seats have been replaced with Mazda
MX6 seats and the engine had new main bearings fitted three thousand miles ago
to ensure correct oil pressure is maintained when hot. The vendor informed us
