For over 50 years Chasestead has been
providing prototype engineering & low volume
production sheet metal services.
We pride ourselves on giving you excellent

CNC brake-presses Sheet metal folding
For sheet metal folding we have the latest
CAD/CAM software to unfold your designs prior
to forming on our Safan electronic 7 axis Press-
brakes.
With capacity up to 3m Long, we can fold all
sheet metals from the simplest to most complex
parts up to 10mm thick. Using our
comprehensive range of stock tooling. Offering
shortest lead times at minimum costs.
Using our in house tooling
we can make your unique
form and fold components.
Special tooling
Assembly Fixtures Robotic or manual welding
Here at Chasestead we will take your CAD or
drawings and develop assembly fixturing.
Your fixtures will be designed on our
CAD/CAM software and machined to suit.
Weld assemblies can be loaded into one of
our 10 Robots or manually welded to suit your
needs all materials including:
• Aluminium Robot Welding
• Cold Metal Transfer welding of thin gauges
• High strength/ Duel phase steels

With Our Qualified Welders and
latest technologies we can develop
your assemblies.
Pressing and stamping 50 to 800 ton
We will take your CAD and design the
tooling required, this will then be cut on one
of our CNC machining centres before being
Formed in our presses.
As the whole process happens under one
roof, we have full control of the process
from start to finish allowing for very quick
lead times.
Our machining centre beds match our
presses allowing us to work tools up to
2500 x 1500mm

We Can base our soft tool
designs on your production tool
line up allowing you to reduce
your lead times.
3 & 5 Axis Laser cutting Trumph Truecell 7040
Last year we invested £1 million in our new
laser cell set up letting us offer you the best
service, turnaround and prices in the market.
With a 4m x 2m split bed we can cut the largest
of jobs.
Your Low volume production parts can be run
on the split bed allowing us to offer you the
best prices available.
Tolerances
When 3D cutting we can hold
a repeatable tolerance of
+ or – 0.1mm
Project management.
Olympic Torch Relay
At Chasestead our experienced team of
engineers will plan and monitor your project
from enquiry to delivery, keeping you up to
date at every step and supporting any
design changes..
We have two Large fully Confidential
Project bays available for you. both are
fitted with individual keypad entry and WIFI
When the Olympic committee needed
a company to build and deliver the
torch relay caldrons, Chasestead
stepped up to the plate, the project
included fitting out the tour busses to
hold the torches and the holder to fly
the flame in from Athens
Quality assurance
As one of the first BS EN ISO 9001:2000
approved companies we pride ourselves on
our quality system and its benefits to you.
We will Laser scan or CMM measure your
parts, producing reports to fit all
requirements.
Our in-house Macro Lab will Annalise all
welds to ensure conformity.
We provide Sub-contract
Inspection services using our
automated CMM to CAD or
Drawing.
