Stafford’s successful Cheese and Ale Festival is running over two days this year. The event has proved a huge success, attracting tens of thousands of people to the town centre to become one of the town’s premier events. So an extra day has been added as it returns for a third time - becoming the Cheese, Ale and More Festival.
Producers of a fine array of artisan food and drink including cheese, bread, pies and chutneys, as well as brewers and cider and wine makers, will showcase their products in Market Square over Friday 20th and Saturday 21st May.
New events for Friday include Afternoon Tea and Scone Masterclass in the Market Square at 11.30am and 2.30pm, tickets can be booked by calling 01785 712217 and the Gin Jamboree (sold out) on Friday evening.
On Saturday top local chefs from the Staffordshire Chefs Forum will be getting the crowd’s taste buds going with live cookery demonstrations and there will be an alfresco bar and entertainment.
The festival, a joint venture between the Town Centre Partnership and Stafford Borough Council, and involving Staffordshire Chefs Forum, is staged in Market Square and Greengate Street.
We hope you enjoy our festival, if you need any information on the day, please visit our information point in the cookery theatre marquee.
