Molten Sulfur and Sulfuric Acid Filtration Chlor-Alkali ProcessChlorine-Caustic-Hydrogen

ChallengeDuring storage and handling, sulfur becomes contaminated with solids such as dirt and ash. Lime is added for neutralization. These contaminants quickly plug sulfur burners, SO2 gas filters and catalyst beds.

SolutionOur specially designed pressure leaf filters greatly reduce the maintenance costs in molten sulfur processing: burner cleaning is reduced, shutdowns are minimized, and SO2 gas filters can be eliminated.

Applications: Molten sulfur, amine gas, off-gas from sour water stripper, Claus process, cleaning waste gases containing sulfur compounds, final absorbing tower (FAT), sulfide ores, SNOX flue gas, metallic sulfates, and other sulfur containing materials.
