Investigation of the subsolidus phase relations in the title system consisting of twelve three-phase regions leads to identification of nine binary compounds and one ternary compound by powder XRD analysis. In the La2O3-P2O5 system, the 7:3 and 1:2 compounds do not exist, while the 2:3 compound, La4(P2O7)3 is identified.
