2002 nanotechnology nanotechnology V 1505 08 - 284 Synthesis of Monodisperse Nanoparticles of Barium Titanate: To- ward a Generalized Strategy of Oxide Nanoparticle Synthesis. Monodisperse nanoparticles of BaTiO 3 with diameters ranging from 6 to 12 nm are synthesized from BaTi(OOCC 7 H 15 )(OiPr) 5 by a combined injection– hydrolysis method (injection of the precursor into a mixture of diphenyl ether and oleic acid as stabilizing agent at 140 C, followed by hydrolysis using a 30 wt.% H 2 O 2 solution). The samples are characterized by TEM and XRD. It is suggested that the synthesis procedure offers the possibility of a generalized approach to the production of single and complex oxide nanopar- ticles with size tunability and solution mobility. — (O’BRIEN, STEPHEN; BRUS, LOUIS; MURRAY, CHRISTOPHER B.; J.
