Thank you very much for purchasing CHEON-SEI MX magnetic drive pump.Before beginning operation, please read this instruction manual carefully. Wehope the pump will provide you with many years of trouble-free operation.
1. Cheon-Sei will warrant all products to be free of defects in material orworkmanship for a period of eighteen(18) months from date of shipment orone(1) year from the date of installation, whichever occurs first.
2. Any customer complaints will be reviewed by Cheon-Sei. Cheon-Sei willprovide such technical advice and assistance as necessary to resolve customercomplaints on a timely basis.
3. Cheon-Sei’s liability for any breach of this warranty shall be limited solely toreplacement or repair (at the sole option of Cheon-Sei of any part or parts foundto be defective during the warranty period, provided the product is properlyinstalled and is being used as originally intended.The customer must notify Cheon-Sei of any breach of this warranty within theabove mentioned warranty period.Defective parts must be shipped by customer or Agency to Cheon-Sei’s point ofmanufacture, transportation charges prepaid.
We will make every efforts to minimize losses and damage resulting from defect.However, please bear in mine that we cannot guarantee against damageresulting from problems with consumable parts, unsuitable or incorrect operation,or natural disaster, etc.

1 Notice for Safety
1-1 IntroductionTo use the products safely, the signs will be showed on the manual .Please keep the manual certainly for important matters of safety.The signs and indications are as followings.
Warning Person Death or serious injury will be occurred if warnings is not kept by wrong
handling.
Caution Person injury or property damage will be occurred if cautions is not kept by wrong
handling.
1-2 Cautions for Use Condition
Caution
The pump should not be used other purpose except for liquid injection, otherwise, accident ordamage may be occurred.The pump should never be used for kinds of liquids which caused liquid end parts to be damaged.Please keep as followings or may be caused trouble.
- Ambient temperature : 0~40℃- Temperature of handling liquid : 0~80℃- Viscosity of handling liquid : 1~30cp- Improper liquid to use :
Liquid included particles as like Fe, Ni etc. affecting magnet. Organic solvent liquid to expand PP material obviously and slurry liquid .
1-3 Cautions for Installation
Warning
Install the pump at place not touch by outsider or children except authorized person.Do not touch with wetted hand. Electric shock may be occurred.
Caution
Do not install the pump in place which ambient temperature is high (above 40℃) or lowsdown below freezing point, pump internal may be damaged.Do not install pump in place with heavy moisture and dust. Electric shock and trouble maybe caused.Install suction side of pump at lower place than liquid level of tank because of not self-suction.Check voltage constant and frequency of moter prior to wiring, and connet to specifiedpower.Electric shock may be occurred unless earthing to earth line, connect to earth line certainly.Entrust to electrical technician for wiring.Install specified magnetic switch and thermal relay to control and maintenance, etc. of pump.Do use standardized good for wiring and be carefully safety in accordance with technicalstandard and wiring regulations.Please check out if the motor is being rotated correctly by accurate wiring connection.If the motor is rotated backward, it can be a cause of pump damage.

1-4 Cautions for Operation
Warning
Do not operate the pump without pumping liquid, Internal parts is damaged.
Caution
In case of using a dangerous liquid, be sure to wear safety equipments like gloves, gogglesand mask, etc.Some water may be remained in pump head after final performance test. Remove the water in pump head and dry the pump necessarily, to avoid the problem thatmay be caused by abnormal phenomena of some liquid which may be occurred by areaction with water.Do not touch with bare hand on motor part when operation.A burn caused by high temperature may be occurred.Do not sudden open and close for valves of suction and discharge. Impellar can not be rotated due to confusion of magnetic polarities.
1-5 Cautions for Maintenance and Check
Warning
Electric shock may be caused when work, put off power stop pump and equipments.
Caution
Wear safety equipments certainly, because the remained liquid in pump internal may beflowed when disassembly or assembly.Do work after a release of the discharge piping pressure, and remove the remained liquid inthe pump head prior to repair or maintenance.Pump may be damaged when ambient temperature lows down below freezing point of liquidused. Do eliminate the liquid in pump and piping certainly after operation stop.
1-6 Cautions for Warranty and Repair Service
Warning
Cheon-Sei will not warrant if the pump is reconstructed arbitrarily or used by other partsexcept specified parts. And be cautious not to be compensated for a various expensehappened by a accident and trouble.
Caution
Prior to sending the pump for repair, wash the pump head’s internal clearly.Do not return the pump if the pump has been used with harmful and fatal liquid to health.
1-7 Others
Caution
Do proper protection certainly under considering discharge of liquid, when pump and pipingmay be damaged.Absolutely do not use the damged pump, because accident or trouble can be occurred.Dispose the disused pump in accordance with relation law.

3-1 FeatureThere is no worry totally of liquid leakage to adopt indirect driving methode by ferrite magnetseperated pump room between motor.There is design of small and light caused by a high efficent motor and a compact pump chamber.Main parts like as pump chamber etc. are made with pp material, also shaft is used by high corrosionresistance material as like ceramic etc.All kinds of liquid are possible to transfer except some organic solvent. Cheon-sei Magnetic pump has excellent performance for transfer of chemical liquid as acid andalkali.

3 General
Note) 1. The figure of maximum capacity comes out at 0 head and that of maximum total head comes out with closing the discargevalve.
2. Viscosity limit of use liquid : 30cp (incase of specific gravity 1.0)3. The temperature of pumping liquid should be 0 to 80°C and use place is indoor.4. Do not pump the liquid to be frozen.5. The above specifications may be changed without prior notice according to its improvement.

9 Installation
8 Principle of Operation
As indicated in the figure, the impeller embedded the
magnet(impeller) is rotated by the magnet (driving)
attached to the motor shaft. It is called a magnet driven
pump. The pump chamber is mainly composed of a
polypropylene(PP) and isolated from the exterior. There
is no need of a pump shaft and mechanical seals
because of the rotation of the impeller by the magnets,
not by the motor.

9-1 Place of Installation
Warning
Install the pump at place not to touch by outsider or children except authorized person.
Caution
Do not install the pump in place which ambient temperature is high (above 40℃) or lows downbelow freezing point, pump internal may be damaged.Do not install pump in place with heavy moisture and dust. Electric shock and trouble may becaused.Install suction side of pump at lower place than liquid level of tank because of not self-suction.
Install pump at easy place for maintenance and inspection. In case of pump installs at higher than level of tank, foot valve attaches on suction side and liquid shouldbe filled up in pump head prior to operation.
9-2 Piping
Caution
Use special heat-proof hose for transfer of liquid of high temperature.
Use corrosion resistance as like vinyl hose for piping of hose type and use flange of plasticseries for MX-135, 250, 300. Especially hose type uses wired hose(blade hose) to protectdistortion by suction pressure. Use hose band on connection part of hose for hose type and insert gasket and fully tighten
with bolts between flange not to leak liquid. Especially in case of connecion on suction sideis not safe, drop off capacity of pumping up.Shorten length and do not bend piping to reduce friction resistance of liquid.

Fill water up in pump room, close valve on discharge side, power on, and then open valve slowly. (Fill water up in suction hose and pump room and then power on in case of using foot valve.)
Check transfer of liquid without malfunction of pump. If not transfer immediately power off and removethe cause.Do not insert alien material in pump. If insert alien material, impellar may be locked. Motor rotateswithout transfer at case of lock, immediately power off and please remove alien material afterdisassemblying of pump.

Check operation status of pump, vibration, abnormal sound, and voltage value, dischargequantity.In case of something wrong, power off immediately and remove the causes with referenceof Article 'Causes of Trouble and Troubleshooting'.

Repair or change for pump having a trouble or damage caused by the following reasons shouldbe charged regardless of the guaranteed period.① Trouble or damage of pump expired guarantee period② Trouble of using by careless handling③ Trouble or damage due to using parts except of specified by Cheon-Sei.④ Trouble or damage due to repair or reconstruction by person except by Cheon-Sei or designated by
Cheon-Sei.⑤ Trouble by inevitability of fire or natural calamity
Caution

Inquire to Local Distributor whether charge or not for repair when expired guarantee period of pump.
Minimum retain period of performance parts for repair of Cheon-Sei is 5 years from the date of production.
