Cherry Crest Pump Station Replacement Project Project Overview Bellevue Utilities is planning to replace the aging pump station facility located in Cherry Crest Mini Park along 127th Avenue NE, just north of NE 24th St. Once the project is complete, the new Cherry Crest pump station will improve water service reliability and ﬁre protection to both the Cherry Crest and Pikes Peak neighborhoods. The Cherry Crest reservoir will not undergo any improvements at this time. For the new pump station to operate properly, work in the area will also include the replacement of approximately 1,800 linear feet of water main pipe on 127th Ave NE and adjoining streets to the north, and the addition of a pressure reducing valve station (a buried concrete vault) in the Cherry Crest neighborhood. Background The City of Bellevue owns, operates and maintains the Cherry Crest pump station and water storage reservoir facilities at the Cherry Crest Mini Park. The Cherry Crest pump station was scheduled for an upgrade in a few years, but the need to replace it now was identiﬁed as part of the alternatives evaluation and public outreach process recently completed for the Pikes Peak Reservoir and Pump Station Replacement Project, located in Bridle Trails State Park. The Pikes Peak pump station will be combined with the Cherry Crest pump station under this project. Later, the Pikes Peak pump station will be removed from service as part of the Pikes Peak Reservoir Replacement Project.
