1952 – the first mine of the Lviv Volyn coal – basin appeared on the banks of

the western Bug

There are 9 working mines and a powerful coal – concentration factory . Light industry is developed and coalmining certainly determines the industrial

image of Chervonograd

Today’s Chervonograd is the town with the population of about 82 thousand

citizens

The highest scientific potential of our inhabitants gives the right to consider this town to be one of the

cultural and scientific center of the Lviv region . There are 14 secondary schools , a gymnasium , 2 vocational

schools , a mining technical school

Church – religious communities , monasteries , assembles are actively

developing in Chervonograd

Chervonograd has survived to overcome the historical border – line .

There are monuments of famous Ukrainians here.

There is no doubt Chervonograd is a wonderful to live in and to visit it.
