My great grand father gave me the name Thomas O'Brien when I was born. He was the family leader when he was alive. I am an immigrant from Ireland who came to the new world for a better start. I have bright green eyes , thick , curly brown

hair , and I’m four foot nine. I am eleven years of age. I’m a kind , c3aring , hard working young man who loves my brown German Sheppard named Finn and my

sisters my black and white cat.

I have five family members. Including my mother, Anna and father ,Buck , my 2 brothers , John and Able, and 1 sister, Missy who all love each other

very much.

I live in a two – story log cabin with a 3 bedrooms . My two brothers sleep in the same room together. But my mother and father sleep with my baby sister. I have a

room to myself.

I wear a dirty white shirt with a small vest and black pants held up by rope, also, I captain’s hat that my father gave me when I was five.

My father used to be a soldier, but now he is a skilled blacksmith. He makes thing like guns,

bullets, sword, and shields. He has raw, blistered hands from working with his

hammer.

My mother works in our tiny kitchen to feed us . she also sews our clothes when we get holes in

them. She is a very hard working mother.

I have many chores on the farm .We milk and feed the cows, collect the eggs from the hens, shave the lambs, and pluck goose feathers for

quills. I also chop wood.

I have little time to play games, but when I do my favorite game is Jacobs Ladder. I also enjoy playing

nine pins, cup and ball and rounder's ball.

I love my mothers Johnny bread. She makes it sweet and good. We drink milk and water.

We also eat succotash.

I love my school. My teacher’s name is Mrs. Rosanna. I have an eagle feather quill with

black ink. I also use parchment and a Hornbook.

When I misbehave my father punishes me by paddling me. I also have extra chores . I usually don’t get in trouble. So I don’t get

those punishment.

Going to church is exciting. I love learning about God . Our pastor’s name is Jim. He is a

very kind man. We always go to church on Sunday

Once when I was sick, my mother used traditional home remedies to heal me. She

used American Ginseng, Black Snakeroot and Ginkgo leave. I was better in no time

It was a very bad thing when you broke the law in my time. Simple things like gambling could

get you hung. My Mothers best friend was hung for questioning the pastors word.
