• This College is permanently affiliated to

the University of Mumbai and the

University Grant Commission awarded

status under 2(f) and 12(B).

• In the year 2017 NAAC re-accredited

with ‘A’ Grade for its third cycle. Initially,

it was single faculty Commerce College

with nomenclature 'Chetana College'.

• Renowned businessman Late Shri.

Hazarimal Somani donated lump-sum

amount for the construction of building.

His name was respectfully adopted for

the name of college.

• In the year 1993, Arts faculty was

started. This way the name of Smt.

Kusumtai Chaudhari was aptly given

considering her contribution to

education and social development.

• From the year 2001 considering the

need of the hour, professional courses

were started under the Self Financing

section. Recently, even the Science

stream has been added with

introduction of B.Sc. IT, in the self-

financing section.

• Meanwhile Chetana's Junior College

was also established to cater to the

needs of the higher secondary students.

Our YCMOU Centre caters to the needs

of students, who are unable to get

education in regular courses. Presently

there are nearly eight thousand

students who get higher Education in

this esteemed education movement
