Floor traps system

Top access floor trap having:

CHEZY Brand Top Access Floor Trap complying with BS EN 1253:2015 with SIRIM CERTIFICATION together with side inlet connection tests [clause 4.8.2] with 3 inch outlet (flow rate through grating and side inlets). Depth of water seal shall be a minimum of 65 mm and a minimum flow rate of 85 litres per minute, with hair trap ability below grating and having an ability to allow 15mm tile misalignment by collar.

Floor grating:

Plastic grating c/w Plastic Collar

CHEZY top access floor trap or approved equivalent. ABS Plastic Grating c/w 150mm x 150mm ABS Plastic Collar with hair trap device below grating. For kitchen sink or long bath connection the use of back flow device shall be used.

Or

Stainless Steel grating c/w Plastic Collar

CHEZY top access floor trap or approved equivalent. Stainless Steel Grating grade 304 c/w 150mm x 150 mm ABS Plastic Collar with hair trap device below grating. For kitchen sink or long bath connection the use of back flow device shall be used.

Or

Stainless steel grating c/w Plastic collar with Stainless Steel Lining

Back flow device

Washing machine pumps are now discharging drain water much faster than older machines. The current rate is 76 to 85 liters per minute where the older rate is 50 to 55 liters per minute.

Washing machine specifications

Chezy top access floor traps with access opening in the grating for washing machine or equivalent, should have flow rate in excess of 85 liters per minute.

Valves

Hybrid stop valve with SIRIM and SPAN approval which is rated to PN16 is to be used as per size specified in the drawing. It consists of body and sleeve with approved metal handle and other accessories according to the engineering drawing specification. Cartridge of hybrid stop valve used must be removable without the use of tools for maintenance and repair purposes.

Inspection Chamber

Polypropylene Inspection Chamber with anti-slip UV stabilizes ABS cover and collar, SIRIM certified and conforming to BS EN 13598-1 and BS EN 1253-4 for load strength of 300kg/1500kg. Central channel in chamber shall be 150mm and minimum outlet size from chamber is 150mm. All joints to and from chamber are to be rubber ring sealed.

150mm x 150mm concrete surround required for support of cover and collar where the PP Inspection Chamber is being installed on a driveway subject to light vehicle traffic.
