Children as young as six years old during the industrial revolution worked hard hours for little or no pay. Children sometimes worked up to 19 hours a day, with a one-hour total break.

The treatment of children in factories was often cruel and unusual, and the children's safety was generally neglected. Both boys and girls who worked in factories were subject to beatings and other harsh forms of pain infliction.

Many of the kids had to work in industries in 1750 at low wages and as the time increased more kids were put on to the work and the the percentage of child labor increased during industrial revolution.

Children got very exhausted and were also injured very badly , the children became almost Human animals as they had to bring the carts on two legs and two hand which was no more than being an animal. This exhaustion of kids resulted as suicide.

The small child workers had lot’s of miseries and to get rid and forget those they usually got drunk and smoked cigarettes as seen above that some boys are smoking to get rid of tension.

The picture depicts that the children were so exhausted and did not got proper sleep so they used to sleep during work any where.

small workers had to lean over machinery to repair broken threads. Even if they made one wrong move, like if their clothes got stuck in the machines, they could get sucked into the machinery and get chewed to bits! Of course it was very sad for the factory owner as it was one less worker. They didn't care if they died or not because the owner considered the accident as the workers own fault!
