Many years ago, there lived a boy named Raman in the hills of Shimla.

He was an introvert child and always lacked confidence. He used to sit

on the last bench of the class and hardly got mixed with his classmates

because of which he had no friends.

One day a new sports teacher came to the class. He was firm noble and

looked elegant. The name of the sports teacher was Sanjay Suri. On

the first day he had a quick introduction session with the class where

all the class actively participated, except Raman. The teacher made a

mental note of his behavior.

As the annual sports meet was to be held after a month it was time for

practice and selection. During the selection procedure the entire class

participated in different sports activities except Raman. The teacher

called him and asked the reason for his not participating. The boy got

nervous and started weeping. After consolation given by the teacher,

Raman said that he lacked talent and he would never win.

Hearing, the boy saying so, Mr. Suri motivated him and took him under

his charge. He asked Raman to perform some sports activities which

Raman did hastily and from then onwards, everyday he called Raman

for practice. Slow and steady Raman started responding, he started

gaining confidence in himself.

After a month’s practice it was the day of the Annual Sports Meet,

where Raman participated in various sports events and won position.

The combined efforts of Mr. Sanjay Suri and Raman’s dedication had

transformed the boy into a wonderful sportsperson. From then he never

looked back and became a national level athlete. He remained ever

grateful to his sports teacher.

Moral

A life without a teacher is like candle without flame.
