children's day

Children’s Day Assalaamu alaikum and Good evening, My fellow students, I am standing here in front of you to talk about children’s day. Every year, teachers and parents come together to decorate the school and celebrate this day. What I like most about children’s days is that I always get a gift or present. Why do we celebrate this day? What is the purpose of all these decorations? Well, there is an important reason why it is celebrated. It is celebrated because children are an important part of the society. Unfortunately, in some communities some children are forgotten. Some of them have been abused, abandoned, tortured or mistreated. Yes, many of them are not treated with the respect and dignity every human being deserves; but are instead subjected to violence, poverty, racism and the ignorance of adults. We are the future leaders of tomorrow. We are all equal and deserve respect, special care and protection. As children we have the right to be children, to do what children do, to play, have fun and enjoy like children. As children, we have the right to be loved, to be loved by our parents, we have the right to be loved by the whole community. We have the right to eat healthy food and clean water. We have the right to get medical attention when we are sick. We have the right to be protected and be safe, feel safe. We have the right to go to school, study and follow our dreams. So the purpose of celebrating children’s day is to remind the society that children are special, they have special rights and they need special attention. I hope we are able to spread this message and get the attention of the adults in our community towards our cause.

Children’s DayAssalaamu alaikum and Good evening,

My fellow students, I am standing here in front of you to talk about children’s day.

May Allah bless us all with good health and a bright future.

Thank you.
