God loves you and wants to spend time with you!Quiet Time is a special time that you set aside each day to read God’s Word to get to know Him better and to learn how He wants you to live. During this time, God speaks to you through His Holy Word, the Bible, and you speak to God through prayer. What an adventure! As a Christian, spending this time everyday is very important for you to grow closer to God.
This Quiet Time will help you have a special time each day with the Lord. This booklet is divided into two sections: A Personal Prayer Diary section where you can write prayer requests to remind yourself to pray for people that you care about and things that are happening and the Quiet Time Activity Pages where activities are written from the Bible verses for each day of the year to challenge you to understand the truths from God’s Word.
All Word of Life Quiet Times use the same Scriptures for the week. This makes it easier for your whole family to discuss the passages together.
Meet the Challenger friends. Here are some new friends that you will get to know this year.
They will help and encourage you daily as you spend time with God.
A Note to ParentsThis Quiet Time is a great opportunity for you to have fun together with your child.

Spending time with God in PrayerKeeping a Personal Prayer Diary is a great way to remind yourself
to pray for specific people and things. It also reminds you to thank God and to tell others when He answers your prayers.
Your prayer time should include praying for friends and family. Especially pray for those who don’t know Christ as their Savior.
You should also pray for your Christian friends, your relatives and yourself. Pray that you will grow in your Christian life and become what God wants you to be.
Get to know missionaries who serve the Lord in your area or around the world. Ask them
for specific prayer requests. Write these on your prayer pages.
Much of your prayer time should be used thanking and praising God. Tell God that you are thankful for your salvation, parents, home, friends, and answers to prayers. You should praise God for His beautiful creation, His holiness and His greatness.
Some prayer time should include asking God to meet needs such as clothing, food or maybe a job for your dad. Maybe you could ask God to help you be more obedient. You must be careful not to be selfish and ask for things that you want only for you. As you are obedient to God, He will care for your needs.

David made a promise to his friend Jonathan to always be kind to his family. David
honored his promise.
Because David obeyed God, God gave him more
power. When you obey, God will bless you.
God had given David an important job to do. David chose to do the job his way and not God’s
way. That was a bad choice, which led David to make more bad choices.
“One of a Kind”
WEEK10
Circle the phrases that show you how to do a job God’s way. Cross out the wrong way to do a job.
MONDAY 2 Samuel 9:1
Start at the arrow and write every other letter to decode the message.
36
Ask God to give you the power to make good choices.
Ask Jesus to help you remember to do your chores.
Ask God to help you show kindness to your family.
TUESDAY 2 Samuel 11:1
Complete the maze. Pick up the letters —write them in order—to read what God gives you the power to do.
SUNDAY 2 Samuel 5:10
David knew God made him
special.
But David still made bad choices;
he sinned.
Yes, but David confessed his
sin to God.
Show
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _to friends and
family.
_ _ _ _ good _ _ _ _ _ _ _.
37
Thank God for making you one of a kind special.
There is no one just like you. God made you special and gave you the abilities to do the jobs
He has just for you to do.
To confess your sin means that you agree with God that what you did was wrong. David
confessed to Nathan that he had sinned. You confess to God and also to the person you wronged.
God alone knows the best way to answer your prayers. Sometimes that answer is yes, sometimes no and sometimes the answer is wait. Like David you can praise God even when the answer is not
what you wanted.
God was disappointed when David chose to do the job his way and not God’s way.
THURSDAY 2 Samuel 12:13
WEDNESDAY 2 Samuel 11:27b
Color the squares blue that have the word pleased in them. Write the word pleased to finish the sentence.
Ask Jesus to help you confess when you sin.
Joey: God is magnificent, splendid, dazzling. God is more wonderful than you can imagine.
SATURDAY 2 Samuel 23:1
Connect the dots and trace the letters to have a handy way to remember how God answers prayers.
Put the correct vowels in the circles to complete the sentence.
Soccer, math, drawing…what special ability did God give you? Draw a picture showing your special talent.
Tell God you will praise Him even
if He says no.
37
I want God to be _ _ _ _ _ _ _ with me.
FRIDAY 2 Samuel 12:20
Tell God you want to make good choices.
