“And the child grew and became strong; He was full of wisdom and God’s blessings were upon Him.” (Luke 2:40)

PTFA Christmas Raffle A huge thank you to everybody who bought ‘virtual raffle tickets’ for this year’s Christmas raffle and congratulations to all the winners! After prizes had been purchased, the raffle raised an incredible £1215 for PTFA funds to help school.

Santa Dash Our wonderful children joined in the fundraising and, again, I have to thank all our families for your generosity; not only did they have a wonderful time running the Daily Mile, accompanied by Santa, but, between them, the children raised a fantastic £1287.19 with their Santa Dash!

Our elves have been very kind to us this week. They left ingredients for us to make snowman biscuits and colouring pages to mark 10 more days until Christmas Day. They left the best surprise until Thursday when they gave the children a Christmas party!

Class Worship Plan During this week, we were delighted to be able to share with each of our families a copy of our school worship plan. Created during lockdown, we use this plan each week to guide our class collective worship. We hope you enjoy sharing in at home. We are hugely grateful to one of our lovely school families who gave us so much support in making this happen.

Santa Dash Classes 1, 2 and 11 all had a wonderful time running their Santa Dash this week. Santa was so happy that they were all back at school after their isolation that he made time to come back to school and join them and was even able to hand-deliver some of his selection boxes to our younger children to enjoy after their Christmas party!

Food Bank

I am delighted to be able to make another ‘huge’ delivery to Knowsley Food bank at St Mary’s Church just in time for Christmas. As always, you have been so generous and shown true compassion with your donations of food items and toiletries – which included a wonderful hamper donated by one of our thoughtful parents. I was asked this week if there is any way to make a financial donation to the food bank so include the link below should anyone wish to consider this at any time: https://knowsleyfoodbank.enthuse.com/KnowsleyFoodbank#!/ Again, thank you to everybody who is able to donate at any time; we will continue to collect each day at the front gate. We are committed to supporting local food bank all year round to help our children gain an understanding of the need for commitment to long-term projects which rely on community donations of time and money. Please don’t feel under any individual pressure to donate at any time; our aim is for the children to see us coming together as a school family and committing collectively. Many thanks for your continuing support as always. Should anyone find themselves in a position of need, please do let us know and we can hopefully signpost towards support.
