Soccer fun

Last Friday all students had an amazing time with Coach

Bazza; fine tuning their soccer skills and learning a few new

drills. Coach Bazza was very knowledgeable and engaging,

supporting students to quickly learn how to control, pass and

dribble the ball. We ended the day playing soccer games

inside a huge inflatable soccer field. Thank you Sporting

Schools for your funding!

From the Principal’s desk As you can see from the front page the students really enjoyed their day of soccer skills and

soccer game last Friday. A huge thank you to Bazza the soccer coach and to Mrs Mason for

organizing the day.

Well excitement is reigning high today for our big night tonight – the school disco. The theme is

‘80’s fluro’. Students can dress in fluro colours and or in 80’s style with joggers being the preferred

footwear. The disco will commence at 5pm and finish at 7pm. Students are asked to bring a

plate of food to share. Admission is $2 per person and drinks (soft drink, popper and bottled

water) are $1. NOTE this disco is for Chillingham School students only!

Tomorrow, Friday 30th November, we will going to the Chillingham Community Centre to have

a morning of fun activities. Students, staff and community members will be playing chess,

bocce, cricket and other games. We will be having morning tea/recess at the Community

Centre returning to school at approximately 12 noon. Please make sure your child/ren bring a

drink bottle to school that day and have applied sunscreen.

The Year 6 students will have their last orientation at high school next Tuesday 4th December. I

also believe the parents have their orientation for high school next week too. Students can

catch the high school bus to and from the school that day. Canteen will also be available if

they wish to purchase lunch.

Thank you all for returning your library books. The library is now closed for stocktake and will

reopen again at the start of the 2019 school year.

The S.R.C. will be selling snow cones every Wednesday until the end of the term so please

remember your $1.00. S.R.C students are now busy planning a "Fun Day" for the last Friday of

the term. This will be a mufti-day - more details to come!

Students received their Premier's

Sporting Challenge certificates at

Assembly on Monday. This challenge

took place mainly over Term 2. A big

thank you to those active students

who helped our Year 3- 6 students

average a "Silver Medal" - this is an

improvement on last year! Over 400

000 Australia students participated in

this challenge so it is wonderful for our students to be part of it too.

Presentation Day is getting closer and students are now polishing their performance pieces. If

you haven't already done so, please bring in a cowboy hat for rehearsal (any colour is fine).

Mrs Window would like to remind all families that any outstanding accounts are now due. Please

make payment to the school directly or through the school webpage, Payment section. If you

have any concerns or questions please contact the school.

A note regarding Presentation Day:- the school will be catering the morning tea, so you do NOT

need to bring a shared plate!
