Chimera

The Premise:

In the midst of a summer storm, little Millie wonders whether it was something more

sinister than a clap of thunder that woke her... 

Crouching in the shadows, in the form of a cat, a shapeshifting Chimera watches and waits for

it’s time to strike. 

The 10 point outline:1.      A young girl (Millie) is sleeping in a bed in her room, rain lashes against the

window as a storm rages outside.2.      A loud clap of thunder wakes her, she is startled by the storm but not scared.

3.      She tries to go back to sleep, but out of the corner of her eye, a moving shadow catches her attention.

4.      She sits upright, alert. It happens again and she grabs a torch from her bedside and a toy sword for protection.

5.      The shadow darts under the bed, she waits for a few seconds and jumps down to try and catch sight of it.

6.      There isn’t anything there7.      Lightning flashes, revealing a distorted shadow on the windowsill behind her

8.      She turns to look, suddenly scared of what she might find, but it’s just the family cat.

9.      A little dissapointed, Millie pets the cat, climbs back into bed, turns off the light and rolls over, satisfied that there are no monsters in here.

10.  The cat jumps down from the windowsill and in the next flash of lightning we see it transform into a hideous creature.
